09-06-2025Evaporative cooler blower bearings are bronze sleeve type with the shaft forming the other bearing surface. It required monthly oiling and since there isnt a dirt seal, the bearing wear out after a years use. Replacements are about $16 a pair. These bearings are ball bearing type, grease every couple months, have seals and will last many years. They are not bolt-in replacement, but worth the effort. At this price, the manufacturer should build this way.

Greater than one weekThese bearings are a good value. They fit well. My problem is they will not withstand impact. The bases are cast material and brittle. I had suspected that would be the case, but was willing to try them. Four rifle shots into the morning and the target would no longer spin.

> 3 dayI bought two pairs for a cable dolly. The idea being to have the heavy roll sitting between two rods which turn freely using the PGN ball bearings. So far so good. they work nicely and are easy to align. The only problem is that they dont turn easily but are rather stiff. There are no instructions how to lubricate them and get them going easily. In the end I used a bit of lubricant for bicycle chains and that helped a little bit - but still not rotating as freely as expected. Update: I have ordered a grease gun and will amend if the situation changes

> 3 dayAppears to be a good bearing. Construction is solid. Bore is ground to within a couple thousandths. Fits 1/2 inch hardware. Zerk fitting is metric and tapped for 6x1.00 mm. It does still fit my grease gun though. Using a pair to build a 1/2 ton lawn roller. Will update with durability when applied.

> 3 dayIm using these bearings for a steering Colum, I understand this is an odd use case but while adjusting the angle of the bearing they fell out of the housing a lot of times. This caused me to have to weld up some weird angled brackets to make sure the bearing dont just fall out and loosen my steering shaft at 50 MPH. Figured this might be helpful for someone, good product otherwise.
