Using this in master shower. We wanted something that looked spa quality but not wood. Had to be waterproof and not mold or mildew. This hasn’t yet and we leave it in the shower. Perfect size for sitting to shave or propping a foot to shave. Life saver when my back went out. Very zen looking.

Admittedly, I dont like having to put together items, especially any sort of furniture, but I do understand how it needs to be done that way when shipping is involved. This is one of those items that I felt was worth taking a shot on because its so useful. This bench makes all the difference in the world when you need to, or find it more helpful to sit in a tub or shower when tending to ones needs. Its comfortable, not riddled with splinters, and is just the right height. Seems sturdy and is working well for me. Its water resistant so dont need to worry about mold or other water damage. I also like that it has a shelf layer below the seat. Even though I suspect that that has more to do with support, it makes it nice to use to store certain bath items.

Works well - comfortable and larger than the other. Haven’t seen any signs of mold/mildew which grew and ruined natural wood one we bought.

Very sturdy material that was easy to assemble. The family was able to instantly use it in the tub/shower. It was bigger than expected so I will have to take it out when our younger family members want to freshen up. Thanks, Amazon for sending this to us to review.

LOVE this so much! We have a large walk in shower and I was having trouble shaving my legs in it with my bad knee since I tore my ACL. I freaking love this! I can sit down and shave and not worry about falling down. It was super easy to assemble and is VERY sturdy. I’m over 200lbs and it didn’t feel wobbly or anything. Highly recommend!

If you have a home with only a shower, buy this. Its comfortable, sturdy, and wont rot. Also, it looks really good. Money well spent.

We started off with a Teak shower bench and it was perfect, for a while. Even though I had sealed the wood, it slowly began to discolor turning a patchy black, brown and grey. After about 2 years of use, the seat broke. Id had enough, so opted for this poly bench and so far it looks just like it did when it arrived. It took about 10 mins to put the legs on and theres no need to seal it. My advise, if you want a shower bench look no further.

I do not want to get a shower bench that is made with wood products. I know Teak is probably the best choice if I want a wood bench. It is water and mold resistance but it is not water and mold proof. A plastic bench/stool would be more carefree but it does not look as good. I want a carefree shower bench that looks nice. This Psilvam Poly Lumber Shower Bench meets my requirements. It is made with Polystyrene. I have to Google to find out what is Polystyrene and its characteristics. Polystyrene is resin and it is relatively chemically inert. It is waterproof and resistant to a lot of acids and bases. However, it dissolves in acetone and chlorinated solvents. So, as long as cleaning this shower bench with soap and water, it would be fine. I am pleasantly surprised how good this bench look. It looks better than the pictures. It looks and feels like it is made with solid teak. It assembled easily and is very stable. The Non-slip Feet is a nice touch. The plastic feet are height adjustable. This is important as the floor of my shower is not level as in most if not all shower floors. It is by design that the floor slopes towards the drain. With adjustable feet, this bench could be set level and stable. There was a little sanding block included and I sanded one edge just to see what would happen. This Polystyrene sanded just like wood. There is no paint or external finish and no change of color when sanded. This Psilvam Poly Lumber Shower Bench is just as expensive as a comparable teak bench but I would still prefer this. The reason is this Poly Lumber material would probably outlast teak and is as maintenance free as possible. It looks nice and is well made. Footnote: - While it is quite easy to assemble this bench, the legs need to be matched to the bottom contour of seat. The top of the legs are not flat, the longer side should be oriented at the outside.

After reading reviews of wood shower stools and reading of water retention & mold on those, I opted to spend the money for this composite stool and happy that I did. Took a minute to assemble because there werent markings for which leg goes where (and there is a difference), but once I got that figured out it went together very simply. Its very sturdy, perfect height for leg washing/shaving, and rinses off when finished. Because it is composite, it wont require setting it out of the shower to air dry in an effort to reduce mold/mildew staining. Color is nice, resembling bamboo, and I wont have to worry about mold & mildew in the grain of wood or frequent replacement.

This seat is incredibly sturdy and was easy to put together. You have to be a little careful as the legs have to go on the appropriate side. The place where they join the seat is slanted so has to slant the right direction. And it really looks like wood! My only complaint would be that the screw heads show. And Id love if the seat were a bit wider as the alcove in our shower stall is about 3 feet wide. But overall, Im really pleased with this purchase!
