Been using this product for 30 years and you cannot beat it for fixing cuts, stings, abarasions or any other external problem. Most people would go to a doctor whereas we use Porters Salve to take care of the problem. About the only thing it has not fixed is a yellow jacket sting.

It is amazing salve! I am an RN who battled a dermatitis for years on my feet with no relief despite a whole array of medicated ointments and cremes. Dermatologists could not make a specific diagnosis and treatment was elusive. Every time I found myself in a drug store I would halfheartedly look at the lotions and ointments hoping one day I would find relief from this dry itchy red rash. Literally nothing worked. Finally I saw I thought Id try another & bought Porters. I washed my skin with the usual oatmeal wash, dried it, applied porters and covered it overnight. No itch, it stayed moist, actually felt cool & wonderful. It is ever so gradually getting better with an occasional flare up & instant relief with Porters.

Love this product. All you do is cover area with product & a bandaid. The next morning it will pull a splinter out or it will pull infection out or it will take the redness out of skin problems.

I have been using this salve over 60 years. Whenever I had a prime, boil, scrap or burn, I bandaged it with Porters Salve. By next day, the ailment is greatly improved. My husband doesnt like the smell but I dont care. It works. I highly recommend it.

Our familys drawing salve. Its been used on dogs, horses, cattle, and cats as well as humans. Good drawing salve and covers wounds to help facilitate healing on humans, covers wounds to keep flies off so animal can heal also. Doesnt smell like roses, lol, but my entire family swears by it! Starting with my grandfather back in the 60s? I remember for sure in the 70s... I most recently used on my 16yr old male cat who suffered a puncture wound on his neck from a feral cat, I drained the infection and covered entire area with this salve. Less than a week later, I no longer needed to apply. This works folks! It works!

We have used this product for at least 70 years. It heals scrapes and small wounds... and relieves pain at the site. Our uncle had a dairy farm back in the day, so we found out about the salve from him. Our family used to call it PAIN KING. We hope to never be without it. Thank you for making it available through Amazon.

Porter"s Liniment Salve - Original Formula

History

The George H Rundle Company was founded in 1871 in Piqua, Ohio where they produced the original Liquid Porter’s Pain King Liniment. During the prohibition, The Rundle Company was forced to discontinue their original formula due to the high alcohol content in the liquid liniment. Market demand brought about the creation of Porter’s Pain King Salve in 1916. The salve formula was based off the original liquid version; but the solid form required no alcohol which allowed sales to continue during the prohibition. Rumor has it that the Rundle Company was so confident in the product that they would only accept payment from satisfied customers! The George H Rundle Company went out of business in 1969. At that time W.E Roecker moved the operation to Covington, Ohio where the Roecker family continued to produce the original formula for 52 years. In 2021 the operation was moved to Mechanicsburg, Ohio where the next generation will continue the 105-year tradition.
