> 24 hourThis is a perfect cage for my greencheek when we go out on the patio for some fresh air and relaxation. Itll also be great for vet trips because its a long drive from where I live. The best part is that he likes it so I dont get eaten alive like I do when I put him in his smaller travel carrier. He happily goes right in! I think it would work well as a sleeping cage, but my little guy sleeps in his regular cage. Im docking one star because the door doesnt stay latched, and even when it does (which is never) theres a large gap. I dont leave him alone when hes in it because itd be too easy for him to get out when were outside or in the car. I made an additional latch from wire, but the gap is still there. And please note that this cage probably isnt safe for any bird smaller than a Greencheek. I think budgies and similar sized birds could get out through the bars, or worse yet, get their head through the bars, and then get stuck. The cage is easy to put together after a small struggle unpacking it, and will be easy to collapse and store away when summers over. Overall, I recommend the cage for travel or getting fresh air, but only for birds who are at least as big as a Greencheek, and only when someone is with him.

> 24 hourThis bird cage will do for now for short road trips between the house the bird lives at and the pet sitter. However, the instructions to put this cage together were poor and I had to get them off the website because the instructions and parts were trapped in the folded cage and could not be reached until the cage was put together. The cage might have been easy to put together except that 2 sides were stuck together in a way that they were not meant to go. It took pliers to get them apart. The door locking mechanism does not really lock. A bounce could easily move the mechanism out of the lock. I will have to tie them together. 9/4/16 Further problems. The included wooden perch is too large and smooth for the parakeet. Also, the perch will not stay attached to the sides of the cage because the perch is just slightly too short. The included steel dishes are nice dishes, but far too large for the cage. 9/10/16 This is a very sturdy cage. The bars are strong. When the cage is opened up it does not come apart. The cage would be very hard to tip over. These are very good things for a road trip. The prior issues do still stand, but can be handled. None of the otherr cages you could travel with were this sturdy or this hard to tip. So I am upping the review to 4 stars.

> 24 hourThis turned out to be a nice cage for evacuating our African Grey parrot for Hurricane Dorian. There was one minor flaw, one of the white holders for the cups was welded crooked, which made using one of the enclosed bolts an impossible task. I had to rummage through our bolt supply to find one slightly smaller so it could fit past the crooked weld, and eventually it all worked out. My Grey was not happy about the smaller cage initially. I placed the included perch at the lowest possible setting in the cage, and also the included bowls/holders. I used one of his regular perches from his cage set low as well. He ended up sitting on that for the most part, ignoring the included perch which was set towards the front of the cage. He was in the cage for about 5 days. It took him a day to get used to it before he was back to his usual routine of making fun of us and talking up a storm. What I like about this cage is the size. You really shouldnt go smaller for a Grey, and this is only meant to be for traveling and evacuating. I would not want it for long term. He has an older travel cage that was bigger and weighed twice as much as this one. We needed the room in our vehicle and we needed something lighter that wouldnt hurt our backs. This fit the bill.

> 24 hourI purchased three of these so each of my cockatiels would have their own space for traveling in the car. To my surprise all three birds with distinctively different personalities remained calm in the moving car and more peaceful than in other things we have tried. Two of the cages were simple for one person to set up, the third box had a cage that was jammed together that took some thought and effort to unfold. One of the cup rings was bent because of this which makes it more difficult to change the water, The slip out waste tray is much nicer than any portable cockatiel home I have ever used. The bowls are deep and have lock bubbles to prevent spillage in a moving vehicle when filled below the bubbles and the cages are secured in a upright position. The only negative I see about this travel cage is that you have to open the one large door to refill the food and water during a long trip and a bird may escape and get lost if their wings arent clipped. I would like to see a lightweight travel cage where you could change the food and water without opening the main door. The perches in my packages were nice and not too short. If the door doesnt stay locked to your satisfaction, all you have to do is use a recycled lock ring that comes on most cockatiel toys. I chose this cage over the other choices because it came with things I know my birds like. After a car ride of about an hour we returned home and sat the cages on the kitchen island with the doors open and left for another three hours. When we returned home, all three birds were still in the travel cages. None flew back to their permanent wrought iron 18X18X57 prevue hendryx cages. Our birds will be happy campers now.

> 24 hour...NOT a permanent cage. Even those with small birds (finches, canaries, etc) should be using a larger cage than this one for a main cage, I would hope. This bar spacing would also not be appropriate for tiny birds. I have a Perch and Go travel unit for trips to the Avian Vet with my DYH Amazon, and although that is a little small for her (I have to push her tail down a fraction to close the door), she enjoys it for the hour long trips. However, Im anticipating a move across the country in the near future, so I wanted something that was larger and would allow feeding and watering during extended car travel. This cage has food/water cups, and she is able to climb down easily to the bottom grate. The bottom tray is nice and deep for liners or newspapers, and it locks close so that it will not slide out during the car ride. The cage appears to be sturdy and well made. Easy to assemble (which is fortunate, since the instructions were way down on the bottom of the tray, which you cannot reach until youve assembled it...duh...) Folds down in a compact manner when not in use, with the bowls contained on the bottom securely. I am deducting one star for the following reasons: 1. Made in China. I figure that is the drawback to being reasonably priced. 2. If there was an additional cross bar a little lower in the cage, it would enable more headroom for larger parrots like my Amazon. She is unable to hold her head up completely, but she doesnt seem to mind that too much. She can always go to the bottom if she wants to stretch. I might try to rig a support for the perch in the midway area somehow, or just replace it with a clamp-on regular perch so that I can place it at a better height for her. 3. The wooden perch supplied is a little loose, and it wiggled back and forth while she was balancing on it--I solved this by shoving some soft rope in the ends to stabilize it.

> 24 hourSo the idea was to purchase a mobile cage so that I could haul my Conure around and position him in my daily life - where otherwise I would have left him behind. This cage is the perfect take your bird on the road solution.... I was looking for: HUSKY - for ongoing transport I needed something that can hold its form. There are some good built tough cages out there but they are all $80 to $120. - This cage was under $40. (Also the supper beefy cages make your bird look like your carrying a lab animal (especially the clear one). I dont want a cage that looks like I am transporting a quarantined animal. This cage is strong enough for rugged traveling - but sleek enough that you dont look like Vet tech. BEING IN PUBLIC - another factor in transport - means carrying a bird through public places. The only thing worse than being on an elevator with a potentially contagious bird is riding with a creepy bird person. Sorry a fish bowl - plastic aquarium - bird backpack is a little bird person creepy. I am just a man with his bird trying to get from the parking garage to my office... I want everyone on the elevator to be at ease with my bird and my personality. This cage is beyond perfect. Its really strong for a wire cage - you could transport a puppy in it - its the perfect transport size - and it looks like normal cage (and its under $40). Very good build and product - probably the bet quality cage I own. Careful details and thought in the design. They even provided 1 extra bolt and wingnut (very classy). When I put it together - and saw it in real life - I was pleasantly surprised - Its a travel cage but - but its not bad for a mobile cage - its like an RV Camper for a bird - with a small home feel. I will be adding a mod thought - the handle is made out of the same gauge wire as the cage - the cage is so beefy (heavy) that I will add a bigger handle on top.

> 24 hourThis will be a perfect travel cage for my green cheek conure. In my opinion, it shouldnt be a home cage because I think that bigger is always better for a main cage. Every single part of me is impressed with this cage. The only gripe would be that there is a single handle in the middle which makes weight distribution a little funky and its made of the same wire as the bars so it would start to hurt if you have to carry the cage for a bit. The cup holder bolts could also be better and you would need a screwdriver to really get them to be hulked on to the bars, but you can have them stay just fine just using your hands. If your bird is an escape artist, the door mechanism may not be sufficient, but its just fine for me. Otherwise, everything else is ingenious. It took about 30 seconds to figure out how to expand it when I took it out of the box. The bowls are made in a SUPER smart way. You can kind of see it in the pictures, but the holders arent a perfect circle. they have little nubs coming out. The bowls have similar nubs on their outside so that you drop them into the loops and then rotate them so that they are locked in place and cant come out until you line up the bowl nubs with the loop extrusions. I dont think that it is super necessary, but its still very cool to me that someone thought out such an interesting concept. The bowls may be a little bit deep for some birds or for very small ones, but Im sure that most people would be totally fine with using some of their own. The perch has deep anchoring grooves so that its easy to place it and it is very stable. There is also a mechanism to hold the cage in place when it is flattened out. The catch tray is secured into place with another wire door-type mechanism but is still super easy to get to and remove for whatever reason. If you do a little bit of jamming, you can even get the bowls to fit under the wire floor for storage in the catch tray. I personally know that I wont just be using the items that come with the cage and will add some of my own, but you would be totally fine for with what it comes with. Its an amazing buy at the price point (I got mine for $37 USD). For a small to medium bird, I would absolutely recommend this cage. Just dont even bother looking at others. If you need a travel cage, this is perfect. The selling point for me was being able to collapse it. I am extremely satisfied and impressed.

> 24 hourThe cage is nicely built and easy to set up. My Senegal Parrot loves to be outside with me and this cage is a perfect size to tote her around.
