> 3 dayTo start with, Ive been using the same Protimeter Surveymaster for 7 Years as a professional inspector. The cap stays on just fine. If you spend $600 on a tool, you ought to handle it with care. It works perfectly but you need to read the directions and fully understand how it works and the proper way to use it.

> 3 dayI have noticed that depending on how I hold it the moisture reading will vary dramatically, even with the pad in the same position on the surface. It seems if my hands on anywhere on the handle the reading spikes, but if I just use a couple fingers to hold it in the readout area I get a lower reading.

> 3 dayAs a public insurance adjuster I inspect properties daily for water intrusion. I debated a long time over which dual-function meter to get or whether to get an invasive and non-invasive one. In the end, I took the plunge and I dont regret it. Unlike the inferior and less expensive ones, I dont have to put it on masonry, wood or drywall settings, it reads everything and goes 3/4 below the surface. Ive been able to find moisture behind ceramic tiles which I could never do with less expensive items. And the pin feature with options is great. I highly recommend this.

Greater than one weekThe Amazon delivery person needs to be more careful with the delivery, that was 1200 worth of items and were just left in front of my office late at night. Anyone could have easily taken them, I went late at night to pick up my moisture meters when I found out they were left outside.

> 3 dayThis is a great product, but it’s just too expensive. I use mine frequently so the risk of damage is high. Also, I keep mine on my tool belt all day and the cap comes off OFTEN! When the cap comes off, the prongs are exposed and they’re very sharp. I’ve drawn blood multiple times.
