Greater than one weekNot much time or use is needed to see that it is quick and effective, a good deal for the price. I have not experienced any over heating issues. I used it to connect usb-a for lightning/magnetic cables for individual charge to phones, iPad and watch. I also used it via usb-a to usb-c for a 3-in-1 charging station which utilized both magnetic and lighting connection for simultaneous charging. I recommend it.
