Most of my quilting these days is for charity and the kits I get for longarming have variable quality batting. However, when quilting for myself or as gifts, this is my go to, every time. The perfect blend of cotton/poly, readily available, reasonable price and best quality I have found. Can’t go wrong with Quilters Dream!

Just what I needed for batting in a baby quilt.

I just finished a t-shirt quilt throw for a granddaughter. This is the second one Ive made. I used Warm and Natural cotton batting in the first one, and it worked fine, but the whole throw seemed rather heavy when I finished with it. I decided to try this kind this time, hoping it would make for a bit lighter weight throw. I think it did, but I have one more to make and this time I may try a puffier batting. I think the thickness of batting in a quilt is just a matter of preference, but this was easy to work with.

Id been using 100% cotton, so this 80/20 was a departure for me, but I really like it! Nice drape and warmth. It does shrink a bit like most battings (that arent 100% poly), and for my latest project that was a bit of a problem, but I could have avoided that by gently prewashing. Im still enthusiastic about this batting.

I really like this brand of batting. It is great to work with and doesnt have a the fly away bits that often come with batting. I feels great in the quilt after it is quilted. Highly recommend it. It arrived on time, I was very pleased.

I used two layers of this product for baby exercise floor quilts. It is sturdy, does not have to be closely quilted - max of 8s. And it is white, nice for quilts using white backgrounds. Havent washed it yet.
