These replacement controllers worked great, and I was pleasantly surprised to find some included screwdrivers. Follow the instructions on iFixit to install them.

Both my original and replacement order were defective. None of the joysticks recenter themselves. So now Ive wasted a week on a job that should have taken 10 minutes

We recieved both a Left and a Right joystick, however the Left one does not work. Would be a great product if both were functional.

Do they lock into position? Yes but only when not installed in the controller. The OEM sticks do as well. The controller is designed to restrict the joysticks from ever moving far enough to lock into position. Installing them instead of just complaining before trying will result in success.
