I bought this rubber so that I could add strips to the sole of my running shoes, as a protector. It sort of works for that aim, but there are a few issues than make is less satisfying It is a very soft rubber. Therefore, I burn through the strips, where I put most of my walking pressure, within 15 miles of walking. Worst of all, it smells really badly, though I have done so many things to try to get rid of the smell. I left it in the garage for days, then I placed or outside there it would get ample air and rain, then I washed it with soap & water, and finally I have just left it in a room with the windows open. Yet, after three weeks the terrible out gasing still persists. So, if you need this for an inside application, I would suggest you look for another product.

I ordered the 12x36 .062 thick sheet for making gaskets for my drum lugs. Its a Mapex Venus series with 4 rack toms, 1 floor tom, and a bass drum. 3 out of the 4 Toms have 6 lugs.. the other has 4 lugs and the bass drum has 8 (on each side) I needed to be able to make a total of 72 gaskets which Im pretty sure will be easy to do given how small my lugs are and how much I ordered... I also made a gasket real quick to post how great the quality is of this rubber sheet. The thickness is perfect and its easy to cut. Ive made a little jig for the lugs so I can have even cuts just so no metal is contacting the wood... just the rubber. Same goes for making little washers. I have a circular punch tube that will assist in making those. The lug and leg gaskets will be cut using my jig and exacto knife.

Wow! simple, thin, easy to trim to any shape to reduce vibrations, cushion and insulate... this is a product any homeowner or apartment dweller should have on hand. Its a product that, after one or two uses you find many uses you might not have thought about. Ive used it to cushion windows and block air flow, the same for a door, as a gasket to keep metal and plastic parts from vibrating together. I used it to lock in a cup holder on my motorcycle and youd have to take a hammer to the clamp to get it to budge... or simply loose the clamps screw for an easy adjustment. With careful measurements, good scissors or razor blade, a straight edge and perhaps some super glue, this is a great solution for so many problems and annoyances. Money well spent.

What can I say, its a sheet of rubber, does what its supposed to do...but the smell! You want to open this outside and let it air out a while before using it. Glad to see there is a rating category for scent, dont know why there is an adhesion category, it doesnt have any adhesive. Dont know about the durability yet, will check back in 10 years or so.

This neoprene is easy to work with. Came in a 10 length Lets just happens to be exactly what I needed. Its dense pliable and easy to work with. I actually Am using it as a gasket material Dividing hand Rail Banister post And waterproof deck encapsulation system. Disney brain is going to ensure that when I drive the screws for the post through the decking material that that a watertight seal is achieved once I apply the polyurethane caulking to the screw holes. Once grew down this rubber or act like a gasket sealant and repel all moisture off the Sun Deck.

This is very durable rubber. I used it to line my truck bed tool box where it would contact my truck paint, and it has held up well and protected my truck. I stuck it in place with contact cement - which seems to work well. It is nice to have this stuff available out here. For years, stuff like this was hard to find.

These do the job but they have an intolerable odor. The closet I kept them with I developed a horrible smell. I wonder about the toxicity and off-fading of this product. I am throwing it away. Also the surface has a sandy, grainy feeling. Avoid…

This is a good quality rubber. I used it as a base for running lights on my boat to help protect from water getting in. I would recommend, but really, it is very expensive for the amount you get. I work in the metal and plastics industry and I could have gotten this much cheaper (and should have) but I needed it in a pinch. It is of good quality, but I wouldnt buy again due to the price.

Purchased so that I could use in an area where a drip irrigation line ran. Put the mat on top of the irrigation line, then placed the small rocks on top of that. This area is right where dog runs thru and this eliminated the displacement of the rocks which would expose the irrigation tubing. The mat is thin enough to do the job without squashing the tubing. Problem solved.
