> 3 dayI keep a stockpile of these on hand for my 3D printing projects; a lot of them require these bearings. I bought two tubes of 10, and took them all out. One in each tube was Crunchy, bound up and unusable. The rest seemed perfectly fine though. They still seem to have a thin film of oil from manufacturing, which protects from rust. Previous bearings from a different company didnt have the oil, and rusted up quickly in storage. Theres a bit of friction when spinning, but that might just be the grease used inside. I imagine you could soak them in oil or some kind of solvent to remove the grease and get them spinning freely. For the price, I wouldnt trust them for anything super heavy duty or something that human life depends on, but for small projects these are great.

Greater than one weekI ordered these to use as bearings for fidget spinners, I know. These were nice and cheap, and I wanted to give these a go. When they arrived, I noticed a couple had small spots of rust on the inside, so I emailed the company and they replaced them no questions asked and were very responsive and helpful. After decided the rust wasnt really that noticeable, I popped off both shields and then let them soak in gas so it would break loose all the grease (wasnt much). After letting them soak and shaking it a little, I took them out and let them dry. Afterwards, I sprayed them down with RemOil and took them inside. In a pretty light spinner, theyll spin for about a minute! I prefer these over the Bones Reds, simply because they spin longer and theyre cheaper. Overall, great product for the price and great customer service!

> 3 dayThe bearings I received were corroded (ok, they are carbon steel and not stainless) and felt greasy. Grease should not be leaking out of these things, even if they are merely shielded and not actually sealed. They were also rough to turn, as though the races and balls were badly pitted, or had dirt inside. I started to wonder if they were actually used, and salvaged from old skateboards. Thank goodness Amazon takes returns. I ended up buying a different bearing for 2x the price, still very cheap, and a much better product. Don’t waste your time with these.

> 3 dayI needed ball bearings that ran smoothly for my application. These bearings are packed with grease and didnt roll smooth enough for my project. However, I think theyll be ok for other applications.

> 3 dayPretty stiff and sticky out of the tube. A little wd-40 to clean them you and loosen them and they work just fine.

> 3 dayI was worried at first because the didnt want to spin, but once I put them on my board, they (for lack of a better word) loosened, it was smooth cruising. Great product..

> 3 dayTwo out of 20 are very rough and poorly made. Quality control is questionable. All bearings needed break-in to spin. About 5 spin well, rest are just mediocre.

> 3 dayI used these for demo motors to show kids how things work. The first thing I did was pull the grease covers (shields) off and wash the bearing with acetone to clean them. Be aware that the set that I purchased did not come packed with grease, which for me was great - less cleaning. I want the kids to see how the bear works. The great thing is that still today after thousands of rotations and hours of running time, none have failed.

> 3 dayClean these bearing out with acetone or similar solvent and they will work pretty good. My uses are under low Load, toys or low rpm applications so I can not comment on high load applications. The 5 star rating is my rating of these performance vs the price. If you are expecting high precision bearing you will need to spend more per bearing.
