> 24 hourI have loved every the Galaxy phone Ive had and thought Id replace my dependable but slow Kindle with a Tab A. It wasnt much quicker than the Kindle ... and then it became a brick, in less than a year. It suddenly wouldnt turn on ... no dropping, no rough handling. Ive repeatedly tried every suggestion seen online. Guessing its the screen which would cost more to replace than buying another one. Which I wont do. Time to check another brand I guess.

> 24 hourSamsung Tab A 8.0 (2019) I got this to play Eve Echoes, doesnt even show up in the store for this model. It was extremely laggy during setup and the screen looked awful, washed-out color, like a laptop from the 90s. This would be ok for a 50 dollar tablet but this cost way too much money for what you get. I returned this and hope to find another, expected more from Samsung for some reason.

> 24 hourWe are an older couple and dont need all the bells and whistles that the $400.00 + tablets offer.

> 24 hourI’ve only had this for a week, but so far it’s been sooooo much better than the Fire tablet. I’ve been a Fire customer for 5 years but had problems with the 8 freezing up. This baby is faster, doesn’t freeze, has better sound and better display. It’s worth the extra money.

> 24 hourI have a TabA 8 from 2015 (T350) that I can move apps from the tablets storage to the SD card, but this new 2019 version, the T290, does not have this feature. So that huge SD card you can buy is only good for pictures, videos and things like that. I dont store many pictures and NO videos, but I do have apps. I wanted a new faster tablet and thought this would meet my needs. I did not see reviews that mentioned this issue before I bought it. I might as well have bought a no-name product than a product from Samsung that works like a generic low-budget product. Not happy at this moment. If you want to store all kinds of pictures and videos, this is for you, you have all the SD storage at your fingertips. But if you want to move any apps off the tablet to the SD card, forget it, not happening.

> 24 hourthis model does not have screen share capability. You cant add an app to push the screen to a TV, which I use a lot. Had to return a got the AT&T model in stead. Also strangely has a Micro-USB charging port, which most other phones and tablets abandoned 5 years ago.
