Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

I used this Hard Drive on an Apple Mac Mini late 2012. The speed has increased very much. At least 5x faster.

Love these EVOs - small, slim, sleek, and best of all super easy to install. Just put it in a bracket, plug in power and SATA to MB, and turn it on. PC will recognize it, but you still need to format the drive, (in search bar type DISK MANAGEMENT, and format drive/partition).

Started with a late-model Dell PC with a 1 TB hard drive that had about 225 GB of data on it. Cloned the hard drive (needed to buy the Startech USB 3.0 to SATA cable) in about two hours.Removed the old style hard drive and plugged in the Samsun SDD. HOLY MOLY! Ive got the complete Adobe Suite of products and those apps could take 1-2 minutes to completely Now... maybe 20 seconds. Im lovin it.

Purchased the drive for an old Toshiba netbook Ive had for 8 years. The original HD had started to show its age. Purchased the Samsung 860 EVO SSD instead of a standard HD to conserve the battery and to improve performance. Seems to have fulfilled both requirements. Installed easily and the loading of the OS (Mint Linux) was very quick.

I recently purchased a laptop but instead of buying a standard HDD I put my OS on a m.2 sata drive as PCIE NVMe drives are still a bit over priced. I opted to delete the free HDD the manufacture charges for as I wanted to purchase this new 860 EVO for my 2.5in slot. Cost wise make sure you are buying it when offered by Amazon directly and not the third party sellers who tend to over price these drives. At the time of my purchase I spend around $300 before discounts on this 2TB drive which is a good price point.

I just upgraded to a new MacBook Pro and took the occasion to upgrade my external storage by buying this internal SSD with a separate enclosure. The SSD has thus far performed flawlessly. Ive noted extremely fast input/output which, as an initial matter, has been indispensable to the process of migrating my personal photos, videos, and high-definition audio recordings.

Super simple to get installed and Samsung SSDs continue to be very reliable.
