This drive is 10x faster than my 12 year old Seagate TimeMachine drive of the same capacity. Its hard to believe after 30 years of Macs just how fast data transfer has become. I remember spending hours backing up my hd to 50 floppies and listening to the grind, grind... Here I have 10,000 times the storage space as this floppies and can carry it in a shirt pocket rather than a shoe box.

I bought it as a SSD for my dash cam in a Tesla Model 3. At least 4 times a week, i get an error message on my cars screen. I have to unplug the SSD from the car USB several times until I no longer get a error message. Disappointed.

This drive will disconnect randomly and you will lose your files and possibly suffer from corruption.

Incapable of working with the BMPCC 6k. I wrongly assumed that the T7 generation of SSD would be able to hold up to the Samsung T5. Plain and simple this drive does not work with the BMPCC 6k

Awesome palm-sized portable SSD. Works great, super fast.

So far so good. The drive is really fast with the USB-C to USB-C connection and I havent had any problems with overheating. Im only using it as a Time Machine Back-Up so it doesnt get much use on a daily basis. Whether this helps or not I dont know. My complaint with the vendor is that the drive they sent me was used like new (see the attached photo) not a new drive (which is what I ordered). While the drive really does look like new to me this feels a little bit like a bait and switch and I suggested to the vendor they might want to give me a small rebate on the price because of this. I have gone back and forth with the vendor and they either dont see this as a problem, or dont care, or ... Im tempted to send it back and get another one (although its not clear if Ill then just get another used like new drive). Ive had good look with other Samsung solid state drives so Im hoping this one wont do something like crap out the day after the return window closes. Well see.

I purchased this to use for recording my PC gameplay directly to it (Nvidia Shadowplay) and Video Editing directly from it. It is very fast and is great for Youtube video editing in Adobe Premier. The only Con I have is the storage size! They say you get what you pay for.. I paid more for the Samsung brand and got less storage. Overall, I would recommend but go a size up from the size you actually need! Does not over heat and it is about the size of a credit card.
