theres no protective layer for the bare shaft of the joystick. i wish it had one. otherwise the item overall is in excellent condition.

Added these to my Mayflash F300 arcade stick. You can definitely feel the difference in quality. Will recommend to fellow gamers

Order a separate 5 pin connector. The one that comes with is only has one side with quick connector. It shows that on the pictures of what you’re buying but for those that have never modded a joystick before you won’t realize you need it until you have everything apart. 4 stars otherwise would have given 5 since they look great and came nicely packaged.

If you want quality japanese arcade components you cant go wrong with sanwa denshi parts.

When I got the 8bitdo arcade, while never owning one before, I could easily tell that the experience could be better so naturally I headed to YouTube and was recommend this beauty and have no complaints.

The buttons are a bit sensitive and the joystick is steady. Do not replace your joystick without doing your homework.

I used these to replace the stock buttons on the 8BitDo arcade stick and the stick feels way better. Havent tested other brands as Ive heard everywhere that SANWA is sort of the best you can get.
