Scotch Box Lock Packaging Tape, 2 Rolls with 1 Refillable Dispenser, 1.88 in x 54.6 yd, Extreme Grip, Sticks Instantly to Any Box

I love the same brand, smaller dispenser that comes in a 6 pack but it just feels wasteful as I go through one a week or so (you cant buy refills for those). This one is the same tape but has problems. The dispenser does not cut very cleanly, and the ragged edge on the box tends to lift up and peel back very easily (like if I pick the box up and it catches on my finger!) So I find myself having to tape over the edges to feel the package is secure, The other big issue is the tape never stays behind the plastic leads, about 85% of the time it falls back onto itself and I then have to find the edge and peel it off again, causing it to split most of the time, which wastes my time and a long string of tape. Im glad I only got 2 rolls, Im trying the Duck brand next.

Did a load of packing with this yesterday. Woke up this morning and the tape was peeling off the boxes. Absolute waste of money.

I love using this tape because its quiet and doesnt screetch out every time you use it. It holds on boxes perfectly and I used it for moving. It was so nice to not hear screetchy tape all day long!

I bought and used a couple rolls of this then bought some more. On a whim, I tried another heavy duty brand that was a bit cheaper but it was thinner, easier to stick to itself in handling, and did not stick to the boxes anywhere near as well as Box Lock. I did one box with it, added Box Lock when it started to pull away, then tossed the rest of the cheap imitation roll away.

The tape is sticky enough and the dispenser is easy to use, but it is not a good substitute for a solid tape gun if packing to move a house. I bought this to pack boxes for storage a few at a time. Was exactly what I needed.

Never thought Id write a review on packing tape but this stuff is great. Sticks like it should but its also quiet. You know that loud screech/squeal sound most tape makes as you adhere to your box on pull? Well this tape is surprisingly quiet.

I use a lot of tape for my business, and most recently for an out-of-state move. I always had to sacrifice getting strong tape that was so loud to dispense, versus quiet tape like SureStart, that was not very sticky. This tape is the best of both worlds! I just wish it weren’t so expensive!

I would give it zero stars if I could. Didn’t stick to my boxes, just kept coming undone and the moving company had to retape all of them. I was worried my stuff would fall through the bottom. This was the second scotch packing tape I tried, definitely not guaranteed to stick as advertised.

Not only is the dispenser so cheap loose and garbage, the tape is the worst Ive EVER used!!! After you finally finish fighting the dispenser to get the tape out in the first place it is barely sticky at all!! And after its on the package to be taped up it srarts peeling up at the edges!! And not only do they have the nerve to call this packing tape but they call it box lock with extreme grip that is the joke of the week for sure. Definitely save your money because you will just have to buy something else anyway.
