I like this alot. Right now it is plugged into my Christmas tree. Nice to tell Alexa to turn on the tree. It occasionally does come disconnected and you have to connect plug again.

Was faulty returned I have other sonoff items and like so im sure just a bad one return was easy

Smooth as glass, to set up and works flawlessly.

This plug is very disappointing

There was no way to find the device’s MAC address so I was unable to connect it to my wifi. Not very accessible

Enclosure design is excellent for getting access to innards to flash custom firmware (Tasmota in my case). Not glued together but held together with snaps and screws. Build quality is good. Did not use stock software to control with Alexa but flashed firmware for local control (device does not “phone home” to China. WiFi reception is strong with the ESP chip (stronger than many comparable devices). So far, very pleased with design and results. All together, I’ve purchased 8 of the S31 (both Lite and EM versions) and they all work (some other brands were somewhat hit or miss). Good QC.

Works really well as is. Can be a tiny pain if you want to use them on a quad outlet as it will block its neighboring outlet. but to be fair thats almost all smart switches. Other than that, solid build and operation. Love the fact it can be dissembled and flashed if you desire and have the knowledge to do so.

I used it to remote turn on my PA system! It works perfectly!!
