> 3 dayAwesome backpacking stove. I like the 4 stand compared to other brands out there. The amount of heat Soto puts out top.

> 3 dayJust returned from using this stove for a week solo in the backcountry. I was entirely pleased. Now, to be honest, the igniter was not happy in the wind or cold, but a lighter fixed that in a nanosecond. This stove was a champ in windy conditions, and best of all, I baked bread in my MSR skillet with a homemade oven lid and it was easy to turn the flame down, and delicious. To cook eggs, I set a large mouth canning ring over the burner and it worked perfectly to diffuse the lowest flame so the eggs did not scorch my fry pan and was easy to clean. I love this stove. Carried it in a little plastic jar ....its a winner!

> 3 dayGreat little stove but slow boil and uses a lot more fuel than my jetboil. I would estimate nearly twice as much fuel in moderate temperatures.

> 3 dayI have 2 msr stoves that I have used for several years: pocket rocket 2 and windpro 1. This one is just more refined with a cleaner more consistent looking flame. This thing just had a beautiful flame. And it is quiet. The pocket rocket hit 76 dB, windpro hit 73dB. The Soto was 64. Very quiet! While the supports dont fold down as flat as I like, the are very stable. The windpro had piezo electric start as well but its less reliable than soto. Its is clearly the best stove of the 3.

> 3 dayBased on reviews and research, I expected this to be a solid stove but it has exceeded my expectations. Ive loved my PocketRocket Deluxe but Id give the edge to the WindowMaster for even better performance in a breeze. Its powerful yet quiet and really does a superb job in a breeze even without a shield. Simmer control is outstanding too. (Regulated is the way to go with canister stoves!). Very happy with this stove and nice to have the option of using the smaller/lighter triflex pot support as needed.

Greater than one weekThis tiny, lightweight stove actually performs better than my others. Boils two cups of water a lot faster than my Jetboil Mini Mo. Faster boiling means your fuel goes further. Weighs almost nothing. I use it with a Moutain Laurel Designs 900mL pot, which is wider than the Jetboil (meaning more surface area on the bottom to be heated). I’ve only used it on one trip so far. My only gripe is the quick burst of fuel out of the canister every time I screw it on. It doesn’t matter how fast I try to get it snug...there’s a point in the threading of the stove into the fuel canister where it squirts a bit out. Enough to see a mist come out of the canister. Every time. Can’t help but think it’s wasting precious fuel. My Jetboil has never done that.
