Spinners, Black, 22-inch Baseline Essential Carry-On

Decided to buy after reviewing videos of the best travel bags online and visiting the site of this highly rated bag. I have used it on several domestic and international trips and it has lived up to the hype. The telescoping handle makes it easy to find a comfortable height for transport and the wheels help the bag to glide effortlessly, even with it’s larger size. The material is sturdy and has shown little wear thus far. However the best feature is the patented expansion system that allows you to squeeze in those few extra items when necessary. It has become one of my go to pieces of luggage for travel. Glad to get a great price on Amazon.

Was looking for a more durable upgrade on the travelpro elite. Both highly rated pieces of luggage. The b&r of course is almost $800. After just one trip this bag looks dirty and scuffed as if I had owned it for a year. The expandable section seemed cool but perhaps too easily collapses when you are loading and unloading the bag. The most disappointing thing was maneuverability. It’s adequate on hard floors but so difficult on carpets that I just ended up ripping it as if it was a two wheeler instead of a four wheeler. It’s a good bag - I just expected more due to its reviews and pricing.

I have been using an underseat spinner for years then decided to get a hardshell spinner last year because it was so trendy. But after 2 trips I returned it and did more research which landed me on this Briggs and Riley 19inch. It is just so much more practical to have easy access to multiple pockets. I aslo wanted something in between an underseat carry on and the standard 22x14x9 carry on. Briggs is really the only brand that offer something in betwee. I am a light packer and dont want to be tempted to buy too much stuff simply because I have the space. This luggage actually isnt that much bigger side by side next to my underseat carry on but the fact the telescope handle is on the outside creates additonal packable space and everythng is flat. Plus the compression system is a genius idea if you really need to stuff your luggage to the max. The unique outer pocket in the back between the handle is perfect for putting your phone charger and phone.

It is extremely difficult to maneuver and I got the 26 inch! I cant believe how difficult it is to maneuver and I really dont care for the setup it has inside. For the price I dont know I guess I just wanted more. I will say that the product does seem like it was well made although it does have some threads hanging in places which again for the price you would not expect. I dont know what to do as Ive used it on one flight but I really dont want it... I might put it on as the first product I ever sell on Amazon LOL Buy something else, especially if youre a petite woman. This is super hard to move around an airport!

Excellent product but pricey

This is my 5th Briggs & Riley bag, the quality is as top notch as the rest of them. My only concern is the dimensions add up to 67 inches - well beyond the 62 inch maximum allowed by US airlines for checked luggage. Im not sure how I feel about having to worry every time I check in for a flight that Im going to be charged for oversized luggage.

I have used Briggs and Riley for YEARS for my international travel. I have 2 Baseline suitcases; one is the 22 inch 2 wheel expandable, and the other is the Global 21 inch 2 wheel expandable. I love the expansion system (or I thought I did). We also have a Tumi 26 check luggage expandable bag but it is a bit too heavy and limits the packing due to the weight issue so I thought I would pick 2 of these spinners as a replacements for the Tumi - mistakes were made! I am so glad I only used one of these. VERY disappointed and have returned the other that was never taken out of the box. Either the expansion system or the zipper damaged my clothing. I have a brand new pair of pants that tore down the seam/fold of the pants, and my sons suit pants are also ruined with multiple small holes that run down the seam of the pants. When we arrived at our destination and I saw the clothes I was so upset. I cannot tell how it happened but I wish I could return this suitcase too.

The only carry on that keeps all my clothes organized and remains lightweight! Classic style, ease of transport and quality production! Already own other Briggs pieces so this was a no brainer!

I paid full price for this, thinking I would be getting a really nice bag. I like the design. The pockets work for my packing style. But the wheels just dont work well. I used it for a trip and it kept rolling into me when walking through the airport. My spouse used it the following week. He doesnt like it nearly as well as his Victorinox for the same maneuverability issues. This costs more, too. The only thing better for this is that repairs are free. But for the cost, I would rather buy a new Victorinox.
