Greater than one weekWhat a great collection of drawing pencils! 12 different hardnesses make this a versatile collection. It is used daily in the artwork. Very good quality and has a sturdy metal case.

> 3 dayThese are currently my favorite graphite pencils. Ive used derwent for years and those are good too but I feel like these are a bit smoother. I primarly use them for graphite portraits. The only thing I like the derwent pencils more for is that I feel like the size of the cores are a bit larger in the derwents than these but I prefer the softer leads in these. Something to know about the Staedtler 7B and 8B is that they do not have that graphite shine, the Derwent 7B and 8B do. This particular set does not have the 7B and 8B but I thought its something interesting to know when comparing those two brands.

> 3 dayThese are my first sketching pencils so i did my research before buying them. I wanted something that was going to be quality and to have options. I mainly use the lightest shade to sketch and paint over it but having other pencils gives me the option to venture out and do some more sketching. They’re overall great quality. I definitely would recommend.

> 3 dayI’ve been using this pencil for over a decade, and this is must-have item for artist cause we need various sturdiness pencil like H,H2,H4 something like that to draw things in detail or express thinner or darker. So yeah this pencil set is good!

> 3 dayI have drawn for years mostly with mechanical pencils because I hated not having a consistent sharp point and I hated the scratchy feeling of the hard graphite wood pencils. I never would have thought that you would gain much from a high quality wood pencil vs. a less expensive pencil. It is just wood and graphite, right? Not exactly. These pencils are better. The harder H through H4 feel hard, but they dont have the irritating rough spots of clay that suddenly scratch the paper. I also found that with a small quality pencil sharpener like the Alvin Brass Bullet Sharpener, getting a sharp point is just a matter of a few twists of the pencil. I was use to those plastic low quality pencil sharpeners that seemed to split the wood or would put blisters on your fingers from twisting so hard. As a result I would use an electric pencil sharpener that eats too much of your expensive pencils. I recommend using a small handheld quality sharpener and your pencils will last a lot longer. All in all, high quality pencils, a little more expensive, but well worth it and dont forget to get a high quality handheld pencil sharpener.

> 3 dayMy dad uses these for art drawing when I was little. 40 years later when I got into drawing I bought myself the same brand and they are good pencils. I’m happy with them.
