Bought to use with a Hornettek USB3 dual-disk enclosure (also from Amazon) which included only a very short USB3 lead. Works just fine (and its blue, like USB3). What else is there to say?

Does exactly what the description says. A good price and with a quality feel to the mouldings on either end of the cable. It feels like it will cope well with the constant plugging and unplugging during its life time. This is the usuak high quality you expect from StarTech.

Seems good. Ive bought these 1ft with the mini connector and one went bad. BUT Ive had plenty of cables go bad over the years so cables will be cables. Always have a few extras on hand. I use these with my Lexar Pro Tower CF SD etc card readers. Far more solid than mini connectors!!

Horribly mistreated this cable and its still working perfectly.

It works well on both USB2 AND USB3 ports on the computer, it is backward compatible. The different USB3 end fits into your USB3 device, so this cable wont replace a standard USB cable. I use it on a USB3 external hard drive and it works on both my USB2 and USB3 ports, so it can be used before you have USB3 on your hoist computer.

Great Cables, be sure to get the Startech ones and not cheap copies. Bought to replace cheap cables supplied with Hub purchase. i can thoroughly recommend this cable.
