Consistent in look, feel, and quality with the Tan and Gray versions. Same thickness as well. Sadly, once again, Amazon insisted on cheap-cheap-cheap when it comes to packaging, and my pad arrived water damaged. Sooo, I’ll have to wait until the replacement arrives to try it out with graphite and colored pencils. I’m sure it’ll be fine just like the others, but the paper is a little dark for my tastes. I’d love a lighter bluish-gray in this line. That would be an exquisite substrate!

Doesnt work for me with colored pencils. I have tried white underneath to pop the colors, but the white doesnt soak in and therefore makes a rough, mottled texture that is impossible to draw on.

I used it for my coloured pencil drawings, its smooth to draw. And thick enough.

Its pretty good! However, the paper has very little bite, so if youre not looking/looking for bite, this is/isnt for you.

My daughter loves it. The only kind she likes and Hobby Lobby went to the cheap stuff.

I hoped the Strathmore 400 series Mixed Media Pads would work for watercolor practice, but truly it does not have the flow of paint and water that I had hoped for. The Strathmore 400 series watercolor paper is a bit more expensive but worth the cost. I will use the Mixed Media pads for drawing and other projects. It was a good price over-all.

I bought this wanting a heavy paper for my art work. This fits the bill, it strong and not too pricey. The color is a nice soft grey, great for color pencil flower drawings.
