> 3 dayThis is a rock solid lantern. I keep a couple of them as part of my supplies. Since they can run for 12 days in low power mode, they make great power outage lights. You can run them from dark to well into the night without worrying that an extended outage will leave you with no light. Plain old Energizer Max D cells are supposed to have a 7 year shelf life so I just store the D cells with the lantern and I know Im covered. Id never store them in a lantern for that long, that would just be asking for a leak to kill the lantern. The red light setting works well if you are star gazing too though it is a bit bright for a stealthy light.

> 3 dayThis lantern is perfect for all kinds of situations. We often get storms where we live and occasionally lose power, this lantern made for the perfect emergency light. We originally purchased this for using on a camping trip. I liked that you could hang it using the attached hook. The different lighting options are a nice feature and I like that once one is set, you dont have to go through all the settings to turn it off. After a few seconds it defaults to the off setting when you push the power button. No complaints about this lantern.
