> 3 dayWorked great! Had to look up how to tie the knots (the photos on the front of the product were only slightly insufficient), but thats probably more user error than anything else... :)

13-06-2025After using some wire that I already had in a picture hanging kit I had the misfortune to have my mirror crash to the floor. The wire had simply snapped in two pieces. Thankfully nothing broke as the mirror landed on the carpet. Realizing how lucky I was having a large object fall off a wall I decided to be much smarter about my second try. I matched the weight of the mirror to the type of wire. To be sure I would not have a future accident I weighed my mirror (20 lbs) and bought this Super SoftStrand (No. 5) hanging wire which is rated to hold pictures up to a maximum of 43 lbs. The wire tie off instructions are shown in four images on the front of the (80 ft.) spool. I still need a little extra help so I went to their website. The manufacturer recommends wrapping the wire around in tight circles eight full times (see image 4). Im very happy with my purchase and certainly now feel more secure with my mirror hanging on the wall. The plastic coated wire was both easy to wrap and cut to length using wire snips. Plus since the spool is only four inches across its easy to store for my next picture hanging project.

> 3 dayI got tired of poked fingers when adding hanging wire. The coated stainless is ideal, easy on fingers and corrosion resistant.

> 3 dayIts the perfect thickness, the coating is awesome, super easy to install all you need is a wire cutters. Note: look at the back of any other frame professionally wired - Do a tight twist numerous times and then reverse it on top of itself. That keeps it from slipping and coming undone.
