> 3 dayLove it. Amazing how a man can spend his entire life in pursuit of something that never was. He ignored life around him and in the end it killed him.

> 3 dayHreat acting and costumes...and a young Robert Redfod. Never really much of a Mia Farrow famd, but I cannot imagine anyone else for the role. Certainly not your happily, everafter romance. Shows a part of society tbst had everything, except reality-

> 3 daySticks closely to book. Beautiful clothes, homes, cars. Ralph Lauren designed the clothes for Gatsby. Feels like the 1920s.

> 3 dayIt doesnt get any better than this; as much as I liked the modern Gatsby, it still cant beat this classic with Robert Redford & Mia Farrow. Excellent version that actually follows the book, unlike the more modern version. Its full of all sorts of nuances that I feel F. Scott Fitzgerald would have appreciated.

> 3 daySlow-moving and dated at times but good throughout. The supporting actors and actresses do a strong turn at supporting Farrow and Redford in the title roles. Redford is convincing as Gatsby, Farrow plays her coquettish role perfectly. Photogenic settings and they do a fine job representing the time period.

Greater than one weekI purchased this DVD to show to my 11th grade English class, as we just finished reading the novel. The DVD was exactly as advertised and a good quality product. The film itself isnt my favorite adaptation (the actors all seem a little disconnected and bored), but it certainly helped my students with our project analyzing the story!
