The Shack This good hearted and spiritual movie is rated with nearly a whopping 5 stars. So unusual for this kind of movie. So I just had to check it out. After watching it - This little sleeper amazingly deserves it! It starts out like a nice calm drive through the neighborhood, then it turns the spiritual corner onto faster traffic. The speed increase forces you to start spiritually hanging on tighter (paying attention). Then, before youre ready, it pulls you onto an unassuming freeway on-ramp. Youll find yourself spiritually holding on even tighter out of fear and tragedy. Then, before you know it, youll find yourself uncomfortably white knuckling it at 100 miles an hour until it abruptly starts slowing down towards an off ramp. Youll feel relieved things are slowing down - just to catch your breath. At the end, it parks you at a beautiful quiet place where you cant help but reflect on the journey you just had. A must watch for All Believers (And Nonbelievers). Thank God for such an inspirational movie!

I bought this movie in 5 min after watching it. Its a long movie but so many aspects and makes you think. Might even transform your mind if youve been feeling distance w God. Its a deep movie, i didnt think it was gona be so sad at times....i swore this was a pightweight christian movie....but had me crying hard esp when the child was abducted. Didnt see that coming...hard to watch. Other than that, maybe 2 parts were slightly woke but not too bad being that the movie was really good. I enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

There are some hokey parts, but the subject matter dealing with forgiveness is very real. Forgiveness is for you, not the offending person. If you struggle understanding this, this may help you.

I was leery of watching this because Ive heard mixed reviews on this movie. So I asked for discernment and asked God to show me anything I might learn from this movie and help me not to be deceived in any ways from this film. In the first 15 minutes or so it didt feel quite right. But I stepped back from the literal interpretation of it, and seeing the bigger picture I can see it as a good way to explain Gods love for all of us. It didnt delve into evil really at all, which makes it a bit incomplete to me. One main message of this movie was that bad things are allowed because of Gods mercy and love for each of us, even those who do wrong or bad things. While that is truth, it is not the complete picture. Perhaps that aspect was left out because many or most Christians really dont take spiritual warfare seriously. Since we battle not with flesh and blood but against spirits and principalities (Ephesians 6:12), including that may have made it a truer picture. I didnt really think it was necessary to make God a female in the role, I think a male could have gotten the same message across. But that part really wasnt important, it was seeing the attributes of God that was the message, that He is loving and with us always. I am glad they included the message about forgiving others
