Ive owned these for about a year now and theyve been great. Its not the most advanced meter in the world, but the price was right. I did have trouble resetting it. I had to switch the app pairing mode to AP, then press and hold the button for 5 seconds, release (LED should flash rapidly). Then, press and hold for another 5 seconds which will put it in AP mode, the LED should flash slowly. At this point you can connect your phones Wi-Fi to the plug and finish adding it in the app.

I love these, I can View energy usage, turn appliances on and off, set schedules and timers.. all from my phone. I can now control appliances at my house like coffee pot, electric blanket, patio and light stringers in a way I couldn’t before. Can now set my coffee pot the night before, and set to turn off my sons entertainment center in the middle of the night every night, he often falls asleep with it on. Definitely makes my home more efficient. Definitely recommend.

    — Edit Was able to get the others working - still not a fan of Chinese data collection devices, but we sell our souls (data) for the sake of convenience. — Original Two issues I had with this. 1) I could only get 1 of the 4 devices to connect. The other 3 are useless. So that’s a dealbreaker to begin with. Money wasted, hours lost. 2) I have to give this device my WiFi info (understandable) AND location data all the time just to get it to work (ridiculous). I understand that certain features might require location data, but I only need it to tell me how much electricity is running through it. A Chinese (spyware?) device that collects way more data than necessary worries me.

Working all over the house with no booster in the router. worked on the fridge till I pushed it back against the wall. Fixed that by plugging it into a power strip on the side of the fridge. Freezer and torch on back porch no problem. Power usage very useful info. Probably need to replace the fridge. I have the app on my phone and tablet. the tablet seems more responsive than the phone when you touch an icon. I have 11 of these in use now. most of them the square ones. two fit in a wall socket. The 10 amp rating has been no issue even on the fridge or freezer.

I might have too many things on my WiFi, but this worked fine for a few weeks, thenit just shut off and wouldnt come but on. I did the cave man shake, bump and multi button push and it came back on after being unplugged for 15 minutes. Working fine again. We will see.

I like the switch a lot, however like all devices of this type it need firmware update to work correctly. Once I updated the firmware it is working fine and I love the power monitoring option since I use it with room oil heaters. I would recommend it, but also make sure you buy WiFi switch with larger rating ie 1800W for a heater that is less than 1800W. This ensures you will not burn the WiFi plug with overloading it.

I used one on my washing machine and set up a notification to alert me when the power dropped to zero and a load was finished. Works great! Doesnt work real well if you have too many people logged into the app tho, at most two. Super handy and no more forgotten laundry in the washer to grow moldy and stinky!

Outlet is very easy to setup and Ive used many different brands before. Literally takes about 1 minute to add and name the device with bluetooth and wifi. Another brand I used that was similar discontinued the energy monitoring part of the outlet due to chip shortages. Tried this brand in its place and worked great. I used the Smart Life app to monitor both sets of outlets. Is great to use not only for wifi controller but monitoring power. Highly recommended. My only complaint is the internal wifi is ok but not great as far as reception. They can be sensitive to barriers / furniture in the way. However this is pretty common across the board for all smart outlets. And no its not my wifi, I work in IT and have a very nice wireless AP.

I had low expectations for these little guys seeing as they were quite a bit cheaper than comprable watt meters with a LED readout. But the ability to connect to Wi-Fi seemed convenient so I decided to give it a try. Theyve easily exceed any expectations and I might even buy a few more. The only issue was set-up was a bit challenging, at least for me. It took probably 10-15 minutes and several tries but eventually I got it to work with the app. I had better luck with the alternate pairing method or whatever its called so you might want to try that right off the bat. Also I think I may have erred by plugging them in before I was ready to pair, you may want to wait until you have the app ready to do that. The biggest pleasant surprise was the quality of the app. (You need to have the app to get any use out of this product.) Ive used a bunch of cheaply made companion apps but this was definitely not one of them. It works very smoothly and the UI is great. Its a bit annoying that you have to create a free account with TOPGREENER to use it but I guess that should be expected these days. It prompts you to share your location but you dont need to do this for it to work. Once set up the app makes it very easy to toggle the power of your plugs, as well as view the current and historical power consumption. If you unplug the units they immediately reconnect to the app when you plug them in again so no worries there. One last thing, I noticed someone here was alarmed that the watts on the readout dont equal volts * amps. Thats because this formula doesnt hold true for alternating current. I cant comment on the accuracy of the wattage figures (which are shown to the nearest 0.1 watts) but they seem to be reasonable. EDIT: Had a space heater (1300 watts) running through the plug for about an hour and when I disconnected it the unit was noticeably warm. I dont think it was a fire risk or anything but just something you might want to be aware of, especially for even higher-wattage appliances.

I love these! No more lights or candle warmers left on for extended unwanted hours. Connects to Alexa so you can turn off even when you are not home via the app. So many uses...I originally bought them from my Christmas tree and ended up using the all over the house.
