Greater than one weekIt was delivered on time and what I received as was indicated. The product is weak, carbon fiber is low grade and the resin-hardener. Carbon is very airy, the epoxy at 2 to 1 mix did not form at 70 control degrees for 48 hrs, leaving the project a flimsy useless.

> 3 dayI like it and it is what I ordered, the only thing I don’t like is that tape around the carben sheet. I don’t see it serving any purpose.

Greater than one weekIf you are new to working with carbon fiber, here are a few things I’ve learned! This was my first time so I’m sure these are obvious to people who have worked with this material before. First the instruction don’t say it, but remove the yellow string. When you apply the epoxy you want to feather the fiber out as much as possible. Keeping the string on will create weird edges. Apply with a paints brush on small areas at a time, pressing firmly down to make sure the fiber is against the actual surface and not hovering in epoxy. I would try to buy some type of clear film so that you can smooth the surface down while it’s curing. I didn’t and just have a lot of sanding to do, but if you used like cling wrap with painters tape I think you could get a better result! Mark of your area, with the tape, apply the carbon and epoxy, then clickers film over that and smoothhhhh out. It feels strong on my surfboard! We will see!

12-06-2025The carbon fiber and resin combo made it easy to just mix the resin and apply. The 1:1 mixing ratio didn’t require much thought. The only thing that took a little more care was working with the carbon fiber. Cutting the carbon was easy, but the carbon fibers started to flake of fairly easily until resin was applied. It could be the carbon fiber thickness or my lack of knowledge on how to properly work with carbon fibers.

> 3 dayThis kit would probably be fine to cover an object for esthetics, but it is not a structural kit by any means. The epoxy is useless and provides no rigidity. The carbon fiber has tape on all the edges which becomes waste. The carbon fiber contains no binders and it’s impossible to work with, and is a pain to cut to size.

> 3 dayAs other reviewers have noted, there is no way to apply this without the carbon fiber coming apart. The epoxy is also of dubious quality. Overall, stay away - it isnt worth half the listed price.

Greater than one weekNot enough epoxy to do the job correctly, however everything else was great including the price.
