Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye Kit Block Party 16oz 8 Color Tie Dye, Rainbow

I opened the box and there as yellow dust everywhere in the box. The cap of the yellow bottle came off in shipping. I was able to salvage about half of the yellow powder, though the dust got into my jeans and stained them. Oh well! Just to be safe, open the box outside in clothes that you dont care about XD.

This was our very first time doing tie dye projects so some of them were over saturated and didnt turn out how we wanted however, this product was great. Easy to use. There were plenty of rubber bands and gloves. I purchased a plastic tablecloth and package of gallon zipper bags to help with the mess and storage while the colors developed. We did 16 items in total but could have done more. Very fun! We want make this a summer tradition and tie dye new shirts every year.

Love these. I was able to tie dye shirts for an entire cheerleading squad as well as for some of the parents as well. The shirts came out absolutely adorable. The colors were very vibrant and beautiful. However, make sure you do not purchase a shirt that is a labeled as moisture wicking it is very hard to get the dye to uptake in those garments.

Overall, this dye kit included good instructions and worked well. Unfortunately for us, one of the dye container lids came off in shipment. With the grandkids in Illinois from Tx, there was no time to exchange the defective kit. I was shocked at the difficulty cleaning dye powder from the instruction sheet, all containers, and rubberbands. I actually discarded the gloves as they were thin plastic and difficult to clean. Even weirder is that I had no idea I was inhaling the dye powder. Nose blowing post-cleanup was colorful and a bit concerning. Our grandkids tee shirts came out beautifully, though.

Weve been on a tie-dying kick so I thought this would be the perfect kit that would last us a while. But upon reading all the comments I realized that this is really only a one time use kit. Next time I will buy individually packaged dyes so I can measure out what I need. We have some additional spray bottles kicking around so what I did was measure out a bit of the dye into 3 separate bottles so we could use a little bit for a small project. This worked out great for us. The dyes are heaving pigmented and worked beautifully on our cotton creations.

The kit was easy to use with 20 preschoolers. Just add water and go. The colors turned out bright and vibrant. It’s the first time I tie dyed so I’ve learned some tricks for washing. I’ll be doing this every year.

Fantastic buy! Great for a party. Larger then the typical bottles. Would def buy again.

The item arrived with the red container open, the powder dye was on every thing. Messy !!!!!

If you are learning how to tie-dye, this is a good buy. You just add water and are ready to go. For more experienced tye-dyers, its cheaper to just get the powder separately. I still have the bottles though and use them to mix up my new dyes, so definitely handy.

Wow what a deal! I used just the large bottles in a classroom of 27 shirts. I still had plenty of dye leftover that I had to throw away. This will last many many projects! After washing the shirts they look great!
