Greater than one weekThis product is exceptional. It helped me save money by allowing me to do the taxes by myself. It gave me a gps to do my taxes. It gave step by step instructions on every page. I LOVE this product and everyone should do their taxes through TurboTax and save money. This software lets you see what is happening in every step of tax filing.

> 3 dayI have used Tax Cut for years. Too much manual data entry. Turbo Tax is worthy of the name. I have an active investment account and a mutual fund that rebalances frequently. I imported all the 1099 information without error, fast. With Tax Cut I always had to complete the foreign tax credit form myself. Turbo Tax did it for me. How painless. The interview screens are comfortable to use and have plenty of additional information if you need it. With five e-files I can do taxes for the whole family. Pricey but money well spent for me. I will use it from now on.

> 3 dayWell, just as most of the other folks have pointed out, TurboTax has become very expensive. In addition, it takes a long time to load once the desktop icon is double-clicked and checking for updates seems to take longer than I have patience for. I have canceled the check for updates on at least 2 occasions because I just didnt have the time to wait. If this years pain is still clear in my mind next year, I will have my taxes done by a professional and not use tax software again.

> 3 dayI have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and find it easy and accurate to use. I like the way it stores last years information for import to this years tax form

> 3 dayturbotax would allow you to prepare multiple returns until this coming year, as other posters have complained, they increased their fee for the initial software or download then added a charge of $9.95 for each return printed or e-file (after the first return). they also allowed you to e-file up to 5 returns for a fee. taxcut has the same program for the coming taxyear 2008, for $49. keep in mind taxcut is a product of H & R BLOCK, the income tax people .

> 3 dayHey, the pricing complaints are old news! This company listens and fixes their mistakes! I am a long-time, unpaid, Beta tester for Turbo Tax. This year those of us, like me, who like to work directly with the forms have a terrific new interface! For those who prefer the interview approach, the process is even clearer this year, and even easier to jump around in the interview so that you do not have to do your taxes in one sitting. I hate organizing papers, and do my taxes over an extended period. The neat thing about TT is that they try to make the software better every year in large part by listening to us, the testers, listening to their Inner Circle members feedback and in general, listening to their customer base. This years version is readily their best, and theyve made it easier to use the Live Community feature from within the software to get answers to tax questions for free. Like any company, TT sometimes gets a notion that seems like a good idea but turns out not to be. This years pricing initially was just such a bad idea - and TT showed how responsive they can be and have changed that pricing model! Like past years, you can prepare multiple returns for no additional charge, and file them by mail if you like (I do). For those of you who dont get the eFile thing, the IRS is pushing heavily to get everyone to do this. And they pressure the software companies to encourage eFiling. Even though it saves the IRS a bunch to get returns electronically, they expect us to pay for this service. I send mine in by mail - I am a traditionalist, but I am also cheap. Hooray for TT to recognize a mistake and fix it fast; they have done so in the past, and as long as they continue to be so responsive, I look forward to continuing as a Beta tester and a tax preparer!
