This is much more reasonably priced than my previous cover, which looked like swiss cheese when my nasty grey Bailey got through with it. This cover I completely remove in the daytime and only replace at bedtime. Its not 100% light blocking, so if your cage is located near a morning light window be prepared to rise with your parrot. Mine is not next to a window but near a large glass sliding door that faces north, no issues.
