UPPAbaby VISTA PiggyBack Ride-Along Board

This is one of the most terribly engineered products Ive ever used, and they add insult to injury by hideously overcharging for it. Where to begin? First of all, it completely ruins the balance of stroller, particularly when folded. The Vista is pretty easy to move around in its folded position - but with this monstrosity attached, it becomes very difficult to manage. The board sort of hangs off the frame and its very heavy, causing the entire stroller base to become unstable. Also, when walking with this thing, your feet will constantly bang into it. I end up having to walk to the side of the stroller and push with one hand because its far too annoying to walk behind the stroller. Additionally, this board makes it very annoying to unfold the stroller, because the wheels catch on the frame. You have to shove it out of the way while unfolding the stroller. It can lead to some nasty finger pinching situations if you dont do it right.

My 3 year old loves this. It does make it a bit difficult to push the stroll though, I have to fully extend the handle bars and she has to go underneath them (btw the car seat and the bar). But she doesn’t mind so it works well and this is to be expected with any attachment of this sort. It also makes folding the stroller quite cumbersome, I wish they made a hook to keep it tucked in when the stroller is folded.

No room for full length stride, so you either have to extend your arms or push the stroller with one arm while walking on the side. The Vista is pretty easy to maneuver so not the end of the world. Also unbalanced if you are pushing with the car seat (Mesa) and have the toddler standing on this - can tip over easily.

While I enjoy the versatility this board lends to the vista it does have some drawbacks. I wouldnt use it as a substitute for a double stroller or if a true triple stroller is needed. Children of different ages can use it but it seems best for older two year olds who tend to stay put and not run off up to early five year olds. Younger than two and the child would likely be more comfortable and have a better view in a seat while keeping the parent from worrying about them running off. Older than 4-5 and they would be so big and heavy that the stroller would be difficult to push.

We bough this for our vista stroller when we went to wildwood this was perfect for our 3 year old as he loved to run on he boardwalk and then hope on to the “skateboard”. Great stroller great add on.

It’s pricey for what it is, but it works well, folds nicely when not in use and the quality is as good as you’d expect from uppababy.

Love our scooter board but difficult to use with parent console accessory. When parent console/organizer is attached to handle, there is no place for PiggyBack riders head to go. Also a bit challenging to use when Mesa car seat is attached - same issue, limited space for riders head to pop through. My eldest ends up sticking her body out to the side which causes the stroller to become unbalanced. She does love to ride though and look at her baby brother. It flips up and down easy and the stroller still folds when PiggyBack is attached.

The piggy back is great for my three year old when our baby is in the stroller. We like it for when the basket is taken up by her tricycle. She has fun on it too - she really wants to “ride” the piggy back. I wouldn’t do more than a fifteen minute walk using it. It’s is a bit of an adjustment for the person pushing (the adult) to accommodate the toddler on the piggy back. There starts to be very little room, and I find my back is arching to accommodate her. So it’s not super comfortable.

I was doubtful about this purchase and paying this much money. But it worked out well for us, with a 1-1.5 yr old and a 3.5-4 yr old, it’s hard to have an active life outside the house. This made it as close as we can get at this age.

Love Uppababy, this works nicely but it can get in the way at times.
