Bought two…unfortunately the first one was stollen from the post box so I had to order another. Remember that these portable safes are not top security, but does deter some people from taking your stuff. As long as you use the lease so it doesn’t walk off. I feel it is a good low cost option for keeping dangerous items, like guns or knives, out of reach of children. Great for traveling as it is light weight and easy to store in a suitcases or backpack. Keep documents and/or money in while traveling.

Very satisfied with this product. Use the cable and attach to seat of car. Travels with me everywhere I go. I bring it indoors with me when not traveling. Better than I expected!

Love the case. Bought for the car. Its just a little too small to handle a full size handgun (Sig p226). A compact would probably (?) fit. Sub compact is fine. Kind of a bummer that they drew the line in sizing at just under large enough so that your forced to buy up another $50 for the other size. Id also prefer more than 4 keys for the combo. It is possible to program many more digits for security, but there are only 4 numerals to choose from. Otherwise a great product.

Quick access

Received as promised and returned with an hour at UPS. first of all no keys in box, although it states on the box 2 keys included. Plugged in micro usb port per instructions not having key available, always showed red battery indicator blinking and when able pressed key to wake, default code 1-2-3-4 nothing happened. I returned quickly as this was not going to cut it for the $149 paid, I was not even able to open it. Maybe my luck, going forward I will stay away from Vaultek products. Shame, I really liked the appearance and built quality; just poor functionality.

Lifepod is well constructed and easy to use. Keeps my valuables and firearm secure when travelling or at home. Definitely get the longer security cable accesory. Well worth it. Vaultek really stepped up by announcing a security upgrade kit for the programable button on the inside of the vault. A youtube user pointed out a potential flaw that could allow somebody with the skills to change the program of your security code with a fork. Vaultek took it upon themselves to address the issue and come up with a solution free of charge for their customers. This is the kind of company you want to purchase from. Would definitely recommend them.

This product is well made but the paint would chipped off easily so be careful in handling.

I can honestly say Im very pleased with the lifepod. Easy to set up, easy to register for warrenty. After seeing and experiencing the product first hand, I have been looking at the rest of the Vaultek line and will probably be buying from them again.

Bonus points if anyone gets the headline reference. Jokes aside this portable safe is awesome! Its the perfect size to secure, contain and protect my S&W M&P 9MM SHIELD PLUS as well as a couple extra mags. I also really like the optional strap that comes with it, I found it very useful as an attachment point to clip on my hearing protection ear plug holder. Registered it with the manufacturer on their website which was very simple and easy, they just needed the ID material off the safe itself and the Amazon order ID number. Unlocking this with the keypad is very satisfying, especially with the little lock popping sound when you enter your code.

So I’d like to start off by saying my product came locked and had a changed master code so I could essentially not use it I had bought a returned vaultek life pod. I contacted vaultek and was told to send it back and have a new one shipped out but after having waited over a week for this one to come in I was not going to wait longer. After a bit of fidgeting with the key mechanism I was able to unlock my box it took an hour to get the hang of it but the ability to pick this lock can be disabled inside the pod so no immediate worries there I did find the keys inside of the locked safe so I’m pretty satisfied with the fact that it’s not easy to open if you purchase one be sure to also register it with vaultek and pick up the program button shield
