You gotta get one of these if you are doing more than a simple fix-it. Any serious project will go so much faster with these. I have a 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch size of these and they save so much time. Just wear gloves when you using it to protect your hands from any sharp edges if a pipe or fitting slips in your hand, and please dont try to use one on the inside of the PIPE - outside of the pipe or inside of fittings only - or youll break the thing. I didnt have the female end extended far enough once and tweaked it - but then again I probably had my drill torqued up too.

Part looked to be good quality, but wrong size was sent to me. I received the 3/4 brush size and not the 1/2 that was listed.

If you do a lot of 1/2” copper sweating, this tool will cut your job time in half. Well made & durable. Chuck it up in your cordless drill, make sure it’s spinning clockwise (as if you were tightening a screw) and not too fast, then go to town. It contains two brushes: one that cleans the inside and the other that cleans the outside. Slide the larger brush forward to clean the O.D. then slide it back and out-of-the-way to clean the I.D. of pipe & fittings.

Cheap , broke on first use

I renovated my bathroom, and installed a shower system using copper with 2 shower heads, 4 body sprays, and a diverter along with the mixing valve. I cant count all the joints I had to sweat, but it was a lot. This tool attaches to a drill and makes it 100X easier to clean the inside of the fittings and outside of the copper pipe. I could not imagine doing all that by hand, I would have arthritis if I tried. This tool was a live saver, I followed the guidance of another reviewer who suggested to put a small worm clamp on the plastic sleeve to keep it from breaking. Not sure if I needed it, but was good for peace of mind. The outside wire bristles worked perfect, but the inside pipe cleaner bristles seemed like they could be a little longer, as I had to wiggle the tool a little more to really clean the inside of the pipe. Only thing that made it less than perfect. Either way, this tool is a must have!!

This tool is not for professional use. I’ve purchased several of these devices twice and I’ve encountered the same problems on both occasions. The plastic housing is extremely brittle and breaks quite easily with repeated use. The device is very useful when it’s new but it’s build quality is a massive let down. As a plumber who relies heavily on my tools to complete my projects as efficiently as possible, I am not exaggerating when I say that this device has almost cost me money due to its failure at the most inopportune times. I will not be purchasing this tool again and I would advice others to be mindful of its shortcomings before purchasing it for themselves.
