This makes an excellent addition to the base game and I highly recommend it for anyone with the base game. I have never played it standalone but I suspect it would be good as a standalone game as well.

Great game! This is the second base set to the Star Realms game. You can use this in conjunction with the original deck. BUT you can also use this as a stand alone deck. No need to have the original to try out this one.

Very disappointed that the incorrect product was sent. I was sent the original Star Realms instead of Colony Wars.

Star Realms is just a fun quick game to play nearly anywhere with nearly anyone. I love the digital version too. Highly recommended.

My group is hooked on this game. So easy to learn because the first hands are so simple and you build up from there. You cannot help but learn the rules as you play your first couple hands. Really excellent gameplay. If you have to choose just one between this and the original though I would personally do original because the Colony Ways cards are slightly overpowered compared to the first deck.

Oh man, what a great game. Playable as an expansion of the original star realms, or as a combination with the original. A lot of redundancy with the cards, but its still fun to try new things with the game.

My brother and our friends love the Star Realms Deck Building Game! So, it only made sense to buy this stand alone expansion to increase our player number by another two for four player fights. I just hope, sometime soon, they make yet another 2-player stand alone expansion.
