> 24 hourWyze came with a bang initially with camera but its expansion with products mushrooming has left it with poor quality. Well one of the smart plugs we purchased has stopped working after few months. Spoke with their support staff and they are clueless. We bought camera in 2019 and now they upgraded their firmware or whatever now the camera doesn’t recognize the wifi- After speaking with support staff , they provided a link where one gives authorization for a third party to access your account and try to gain information in why / whats going wrong however, if you agree this third party can have access to other information on your account or phone and that is why we decided not to proceed. I think Wyze needs to not mislead customers and think we have had enough of the Wyze’s products unless they change their mission/ vision. That being said- shop around - their are many more and better products on Amazon unfortunately some are very friendly initially but as their products/ business get popular their quality goes down.

> 24 hourMy living room has two lamps for its primary lighting since it is not wired to any overheads. I was tired of always shuffling to each side of the couch and cranking each one to turn the lights on before sitting down. Most people have a switch wired to overhead lighting but I am unfortunately not one of those people. My solution to this first world inconvenience was to purchase these plugs in conjunction with a Google home mini for controlling both lamps. The plugs work flawlessly for my needs and I havent had any connectivity issues since setting this system up. My google home is a bit slow for voice recognition but as soon as the signal goes through, the plugs switch on power simultaneously and shed glorious light on my little room. Very pleased with my purchase!

> 24 hourSome of these are connected to devices so I can have small space heaters turn on/off by a schedule.. and others just give me a way to restart a device that maybe 60 miles away. Also had one on my coffee pot, so it would automatically turn off if I forgot, by gps location in Alexa.. Good way to make non smart devices better on the electric bill, or give you some peace of mind that you may have forgot t whatever small appliances on.. I can always double check from the app if that silly coffee mark was left on or not.

> 24 hourIt seems like every other day I have to go in and re-add one of these plugs to the app/network because it says its not available. Its not difficult to do, but if multiple go out at once, its difficult to see which one youre reconnecting to unless youre watching the flashing light patterns on each of them while going through the setup. Its just annoying to have to do this on a regular basis. When they do drop off, they still retain their schedule, so your lights will still turn on and off per the set schedule, but you lose the ability to manually turn them on/off with the app or with a connected assistant (google and alexa). Then, once you reconnect to them, if you dont do it the right way you lose the schedule for that plug and have to re-program that to get it to turn on/off automatically. Theyre easy to setup, configure, and manual button works fine if you can reach where these are plugged in. Firmware needed to fix the stability and reconnection on its own. My KASA plugs seem to not have this issue, whats so different in these?

> 24 hourThis is a GREAT product. Just buy it. FIVE STARS! A great compliment to home security. Can make you look like your home when you’re not through automated “vacation mode” light controls. And much more. Originally I gave it a one star review bc the plug kept dropping off wifi connection. Basically making the plug not an ideal choice for home security. However, there was an OTA firmware update two weeks ago. Since then, none of my plugs have dropped off wifi. Very stable now. Plugs work great now. AMAZING product. Thanks Wyze! p.s. below was my original one star review for context ******** I am a loyal Wyze customer. I have many of their products in my house from cameras, outdoor floodlights, plugs, etc. In total, about 17 wyze products in my home. Many of my Wyze products are GREAT. So it pains me to have to write a negative review on their smart plug. These smart plugs have a huge flaw - they randomly disconnect from their wifi connection. And their is no way to reestablish the wifi connection unless you are physically next to the plug and have to do a hard physical restart. The plug is incapable of reestablishing wifi connection automatically. And you can not prompt it to do so remotely via the app on your smartphone. Since most people will use this plug to control lights when they are away for security reasons (vacation, coming home late from work, etc), this random wifi drop problem makes it a terrible choice as part of a home security setup. Went on two vacations recently. Both over a week long. A few days into each vacation, my app started showing a few of my plugs as “off line”. Basically you can’t control them remotely and they are no long working. Basically your home security with lights going on and off at night is gone. I’ve spoke to customer service many times on this issue. I’ve done it all - hard resents, turning off 5ghz on router so plug can connect to 2.4ghz, erase/reinstall app, etc. Nothing works. When you google this issue, there’s a lot of people out there experiencing the same thing with this plug. Wyze has openly stated they are aware of the issue and have sent firmware updates to fix it. Firmware update have been sent, but the issue is not fixed. This is the first negative Amazon review I have ever written. I hope Wyze reads this and understands that loyal customers of Wyze are super frustrated over this issue. PLEASE FIX THIS. It’s my hope that you can fix this asap. And then I can turn this one star review into a five star! Thank you

> 24 hourI was excited to upgrade my Christmas decor in my living room by using the plugs so now I just have to say Alexa, turn on Christmas or Alexa, turn off Christmas and my Christmas tree and electric fireplace both turn on or off. Its nice when youre running out of the house.

> 24 hourUPDATE: Connectivity has improved since I switched my 2.4ghz channel to one with less users on it. Doesnt disconnect as much but reconnecting is still an issue. Changed from using Rules to Schedules on each plug. That along with not having them switch on and off at the same time has improved the connectivity in addition to the 2.4ghz channel switch. Now another interesting problem. I have a ghost rule on one of my plugs. I had deleted all the rules, checked all plugs and phones that were connected and still have an old rule on one plug that turns it on. Have tried everything to delete it but to no avail. Ended up putting in a new rule to turn it off immediately. Noticed this is a problem on web forums with Wyze but have not seen any solution. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Purchased 3 of these four months ago. Couldnt get one of them to pair so I contacted Wyze and they replaced it immediately, kudos to customer service. Having said that, I have the three outlets installed within 10 feet of my router, one with adjustable antennas. Two of them obstructed by a piece of furniture, so obstructed line of sight from the router to the plug. Originally, I had no problems with them but in the last two months both drop my WiFi signal at least once per week. I switched one out with another new one, but the same thing keeps happening. Unfortunately, the only way to reboot them is to unplug and plug back in. All of them have the firmware updated but only the one right by my router has consistently stayed connected. As a point of reference, I have a smart TV, Roku stick and Firestick in three other rooms with walls between them and my router and they never drop my WiFi signal. So its either go back to my tried and true mechanical timer, and switch lights off and on, or find another brand thats more reliable.

> 24 hourI bought these smart plugs to replace the timers I had connected to some small decorative lights in several rooms of the house. While the timers did their job, it was a pain in the neck to have to reset them as sunset changed with the seasons. With these smart plugs, I can simply set a schedule to turn them on at sunset, then off at a particular time. You can also set a Rule with additional options if you like. In addition, you can turn them on or off with a click on your phone if desired. So far, very happy with them.
