X6672 Lennox Healthy Climate 16x25x5 Merv 16 Filter

About the best furnace filter available, but pricey. To save a few bucks a merv 13-15 would probably suffice.

My HVAC tech recommended this filter for my Lennox system to help improve air quality since I have asthma. The seller answered a question quickly and shipped item very quickly. Fits perfectly. Havent had that long to comment on differences between this and my old Merv 11 filter but I have high hopes.

Constant noise/whine developed after 6-8 weeks of furnace season. Whine immediately resolves when filter removed (not a motor bearing therefore). Whine returns in seconds when the other - new and unused - filter of two pak was substituted. Whine audible thoughout the house above soft conversation level.This was Amazon purchase of Lennox Healthy Solutions X6672 - 2 pak. three months ago. In previous years I have purchased from other suppliers approx 10 such (never noisy) filters for this same Lennox and two other furnaces. Usually these Lennox filters have been completely quiet lasting for 5-6 months until semi-annual technician furnace service and discard the old...in with the new filter time. At time of most recent Lennox furnace purchase three years ago this filter type was #1 rated (and still is) 5 FILTER in highly esteemed consumer review magazine and web site for near-hepa type home furnace filter I was pleased that these were carbon coated (have used previously x 2), again without any whine over 5+ months). Now I need service call... Will update review/rating if noise not due to filter. Years ago I purchased a furnace filter with a built in whistle designed to become noisy signal built into filter alerting re: dirt build up and time to change, but I find nothing to suggest this in Product Description and see no such device in this filter. Filter, as being used, still looks clean and no dust shake out when dropped to pavement.

Ive ordered it several times in the past. Always a good product & a fair price. Will order this product again when needed.

Our furnace has a Health Climate filter system. I had been using a merv 13 filter from our local big box home store. I bought three 20 x 25 x 5 (actual width 4 3/8). I started using them during the cooling season and did not notice any issues. However, when switching to heat, the furnace locked out due to overheating on the first morning we had temperatures in the teens Fahrenheit. Our thermostat automatically sets the heat down 10 degrees at night so we are calling for heat in the morning to bring the temperature back up. The filter had been in use five months at this point so I thought it might need changing. I put in a new filter and the next morning had the same issue. The filter restricted the air flow too much to allow the heat to move through the furnace. I went back to the merv 13 filter and have not had further issues. This may not be a typical issue but thought it might be helpful to others to share.

I purchase this filter every year and it meets or exceeds my expectation on price and durability.

These filters are ridiculously expensive, but thats a Lennox issue, not the seller. This seller had the best price I could find. I had a minor issue with the order, but the seller responded and resolved the problem within an hour.
