It fit on my 20 long aqueon tank. Do I think I need claps, no. Its going to stay right were it is. I will have my hatchling razor back musk turtle in the tank. The lid is perfect. I saved money by purchasing my tank and lid separately.

Sits funny on my tank, like its a little crooked... and the locking mechanism is pretty crappy, doesn’t really hold it close well and is very sticky. Luckily my snake doesn’t care much, but if you have a super escape artist I would look elsewhere. Nice and sturdy though!

I was given a tortoise with the enclosure he grew up in which is a zilla 20gallon long tank. The tank has the slide in type of screen, fine mesh, tends to give out. This screen here is not a slider but will fit over the tank with just a little push. Fits nicely and a much heavier gauge screen than the one my tank came with. I believe it offers better air circulation. Your dome lamps can rest right on the screen if you want. It even holds the weight of my cat that sleeps on top of the tank at night! The door is a nice convenience for times you dont need to pop off the entire top but when you do it the entire cover goes on and off with ease. Well worth twenty bucks.

I had a 30x12 aquarium tank that originally had a lid that slid in and out, but a mouse ate its flimsy screen. I got this as a replacement, and wanted so badly to make it work, but it is just 1/2cm not long enough. It is very strong, and the holes are impassable for any escapist critters or their food, and I really really love it..... But Im returning it because it just doesnt fit. Now I dont know what to do about replacing my mouse-chewed lid. Perhaps Ill have to suck it up and replace my whole cage.
