This is a really cute pencil case - looks like a monster! The gold teeth are just decorative - not part of the zipper. And the zipper...unzips the whole case into one long zipper! My grandson loves zipping and unzipping the case, and loves the monster. He thinks it is a puppet that hold Lincoln Logs. BUT when it is all unzipped it does pose a strangulation risk, so not for little kids unsupervised.

My 9 year old wanted this for back to school. I was skeptical about the size and durability, however when it arrived I was pleased to find out that it held more than I thought it would and it feels very durable. I dont see having to replace it mid-school year! Its kinda goofy looking, but its really cute and he loves it.
