> 3 dayI use a pair of these to electrically isolate my DSL modem from the rest of my network. I get lightning strikes that come in from the DSL line and destroy everything connected to the network. -Not anymore! Lightning will not go through the fiber optic cable. I ran tests on the speed and there is no increased lag or bandwidth on my connection with these. They work good.

> 3 dayI patched this converter between my ISPs cable modem/router and my home theaters Ethernet switch to break any electrically conductive path between them. This cheap insurance should give me the peace of mind that in the event the cable modem gets zapped, it wont take my rig down with it. It was plug and play right out of the box-quick and easy to hook up, and no software to install and configure. Some say doing this improves audio performance too. I dont see how, but the claim might be legit; since Ive done this, overall sound seems somewhat clearer.

> 3 dayI bought a pair of these, connected them with a 1M fiber cable and installed them between my cable modem and router. The idea was to have a fiber bridge giving air separation between the cable system and all the stuff on the home network: Coax-->Cable Modem-->Ethernet-->Converter-->Fiber-->Converter-->Ethernet-->Router Fast forward eight months. A spring thunderstorm came through, and a nearby lightning hit zapped the cable modem, killing its ethernet port. It also fried one of the media converters, one half of this fiber bridge. But the damage stopped there. Ive replaced the modem, as well the converter sacrificed to block the electrical hit. A low price to pay to save everything else on my home network. Recommended if you live in a lightning-prone area.

> 3 dayAC ADAPTERだけPSE取得の物に交換しようと、家にある5v1Aの奴を本体のDC Jack に挿そうと思ったら、5.5mm2.5mm仕様だった。 AC ADAPTER側は、5.5mm2.1mmだったので当然挿せない。 仕方無く5.5mm2.5mm 仕様のAC ADAPTERを買い直した。 それでも製品には満足です。

> 3 dayI plan on using these for a long run to my Starlink dish and router in an off-grid location. I wanted to avoid Ethernet as the location of the dish exceeds the recommended length for a single Ethernet run (I also dont like the idea of running a long string of copper between my dish and house as we have a lot of lighting storms.) I tested the units inside my office for a couple of weeks in place of my existing Ethernet cable and never even noticed they were there and worked perfectly. The low power requirements also make this perfect for my off-grid scenario.

> 3 dayWorks great w/1000BASE-T. Purchased this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LP9TZVE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_dp_T1_ZxLtzbCKY6FSJ - for a 50 cable. (obviously only 1 side) - Used this to optically isolate and move internet provider further from my eq.

> 3 dayI wanted an alternative to twisted coper pairs wiring for electrical isolation for my switches in different locations in the home. I ran a fiber cable between the locations where my switches. Ihooked it up and worked instantly no setup necessary.
