I wanted an alternative to twisted coper pairs wiring for electrical isolation for my switches in different locations in the home. I ran a fiber cable between the locations where my switches. Ihooked it up and worked instantly no setup necessary.

I use this product to replace my failed units install for a few years and they work very well. I recommend them to anyone needing a replacement for your environment.

Galvanic isolation for network Hi-Res music streaming lowers noise floor, better music separation, all out better sound quality. There is a issue with streaming, and that’s called network jitter. Jitter causes 0 and 1s packets to arrive slightly altered because of network noise. This can be caused by other devices on your network, neighbor’s network, city’s network....This device is very similar to very expensive audiophile fiber switches, but at 1/10 the cost. I installed a low cost fiber optic network bridge for my audio setup, and is by far the best audio tweak I made when streaming Hi-Res Audio. Highly recommended.

Works really well. my setup included a PoE camera and two of these with a Single Mode SC cable in between and everything worked like a charm. Couldnt be more happy

I live in an area that frequently sees strong lightning storms, and the cable system often delivers high-voltage surges on the coax that not only fries the modem, it often goes on (across the ethernet cable) to fry connected routers, switches, etc. on the network. Thats a big pain to deal with, never mind expensive. The fix: this kit plus a short (2m) loop of fiber creates an effective air gap that stops those surges from zapping the rest of the gear. Of course, one of the media converters could get fried itself, but thats cheaper than the rest of the gear. It is totally plug and play between my cable modem and the router.
