> 24 hourThe center hole punch is pretty good. Its easy to use and it comes in handy when youre drilling through a hard or a slippery surface. The tension is easy to adjust and it has a pretty good range. The smallest holes in my pic are at the lowest setting punching through pine. Good thing you get a set of 2 because the center hold punch is tiny and easy to lose in a busy shop.

> 24 hourIf you have to drill holes in ...... you can simply start drilling and hope the drill bit actually goes in straight. On metal or on rounded surface you know the drill bit will dance around before catching and scraping up the surface as it goes. These center punches are spring loaded so you simply place it where you want to drill press and it leaves an indent keeping your drill bit centered and straight. A must have for anyone working on metal or plastics. Good quality tool which when you learn how to use you wont ever not want to be without.

> 24 hourI use these mostly to make an indent for drilling. They work well for that. Ive used them on Aluminum and steel. I recommend clicking them several times to make a good indent so the drill bit stay where it should when starting to drill. You can also use these to break a car window in case you are trapped inside or you need to rescue someone. The parts are all metal and seem to be machined accurate enough to work well. Ive used similar punches that cost many times as much as these and they work pretty much the same.

> 24 hourIF yours doesnt punch holes, you have to open up the front part and change the direction of the spring. The spring that is closest to the hole punch part. For some reason the spring I received way put it backwards so it was catching on the mechanism inside and not pressing into the whole fully.

> 24 hourCant say enough good things about this set of spring loaded punches. They work perfectly and like they are supposed to. The knurling provides a nice grip. Both sides can be unscrewed for cleaning and lubrication. You really cannot go wrong with this set. They are an excellent value. I have a Starrett at work that cost ten times as much as these two. They make the same indent on steel as the Starrett does. They even feel the same when used. I would highly recommend these center punches. Extremely useful tool to have on hand.
