electric table fan has been gradually slowing. cleaning and regreasing the metallic bearings helped for a little while but resistance to rotation was starting to recur. Re-cleaned the bearings and used the 3-in 1 motor oil. Fan spins freely again but being a thin oil, I expect to have to reapply on an annual basis, depending on duration of use of the fan. Smells like oil, not disagreeable. I use this now over the 3-in-1 general purpose oil since it doesnt polymerize to a sticky film ( at least it hasent yet).

Good price for a trusted name brand oil that works well.

Great all around the house machine oil. I buy these to fill my small squeeze oil cans with. They are the perfect size to refill one can or partially refill 2 cans. And its great oil. If it wasnt they would not have been in business for all these years. And the price is great. Cheapest price around.

As far as I can tell this oil is fine. Much better value than the B&G oil and should be just as good.

It’s worth mentioning that everyone here is familiar with the Original 3 in 1 multipurpose household oil blend (black and red) and I’ve learned a few things today. I saw a video saying that you can’t use the original blend for bearings because it’s a detergent and it will only last you a few days whereas this blend oil is NOT a detergent. The 4 images that both bottles show what objects to be used for would be pretty much self explanatory. The way I see it now, the original blend is just a penetrant and this oil is sort of a penetrant but it stays for a long time. Hence why it is SAE 20, meaning how thick the oil is and how much temperature it can withstand. Approximately 380 degrees maximum before the oil begins to dry out
