A Treasury of Curious George: 6 Stories in 1!

> 24 hourThe heading is the adult speaking. The child loves these stories--which are all the same story repeated in different situations. It seems to be a story that the child needs to hear--doing something wrong with good intentions, and then everthing working out well in the end. This may touch them more deeply than more recent childrens books that adults like. Kids at a certain age need curious George stories--it helps them understand their lives in a good way.

> 24 hourI got most of the way through the first page of this book before some crashing grammatical issues made me flip back to the copyright page to see what the trick was. Note how careful the company is never to quite state that the book is *written* or *illustrated* by Margaret or H.A. Rey. They talk a great deal about those authors, and how their beloved character returns in these stories! Etc. In fact the copyright page makes clear that both authors were quite dead by the time any of these charmless, boring stories were written in a cubicle at a Houghton Mifflin office building. Youll have trouble pushing through the pointless, page - filling spam here. The most effort put into authorship in any of these later properties consists in writing text intended to mislead the buyer into believing they have purchased a classic story - without ever *quite* saying something that could be brought against them in a court of law. In fact, the author is Houghton Mifflin - not even any one person. The stories were written by an employee, or more likely (given their meandering, tepid, pointlessness) a committee of employees. The illustrations were done by one artist in the case of a few stories, and by contracted outsourcing firm in the case of others. What fun! What a great way for your children to learn about maximizing the long-term annuity value of an intellectual character property!

> 24 hourMy 9 month old is obsessed with Curious George and it is the only book/show that will capture his attention. I bought this book with the intention of using it as a guest book for his 1st birthday party (Curious George them, of course). It is absolutely perfect and will serve its purpose well as there are multiple pages in the beginning of the book with room for guests messages. We have already been through most of the stories in the book and they are just wonderful. The illustrations are beautiful, Im also a big fan of the older style of George, not what you find on TV today. The book is a lot larger than I thought it would be which is great. I am very, very happy with my purchase. Thank you!!

> 24 hourThis book is a very nice hard cover book with eight stories inside. The stories are just the right length for us to read with a two-year-old. My son likes this book a lot and has been even looking through it on his own. I have given this book as a gift and would do it again, since it appears that you spent more than you did.:)

> 24 hourBought for 4 year old grandson. Story time is his favorite. He loves that there are multiple stories in this book and gets excited to look at the table of contents at all the choices. We read one or two stories at a time and the next time he goes straight to the table of contents to show me where we left off and what story is next. The quality of this book is outstanding. Colors and illustrations are beautiful. Stories are super fun and entertaining to read. We love Curious George. This book does him justice.
