Were having problems with the equipment. My son called the manufacturer and they keep giving him instructions in order to fix the computer software problems, but it didnt work. They just told him to call the customer service line for latin people. This a gaming computer and the computer keep having problems. I want a new equipment because I paid $1,336.89 for this merchandise.

So despite all the reviews saying this laptop overheated I bought it anyway. Lo and behold it would overheat on me too, up to like 98C even when playing games like Bioshock! But all you have to do (if you get this laptop) is download Throttle Stopper and lower the voltage and turn off turbo mode (lots of YouTube videos on this). Since I did that my laptop has not overheated! But yeah this is pretty cheap for what specs it is, plus I got in on sale for like $900. 8-)

Its a good laptop. The casing is nice and doesnt scratch too easy. Graphics and the screen are clean. Small amount of storage but is able to fit another drive inside (I put a Seagate cude 2tb) but it tends to heat up fast on graphic intensive games. I suggest turning on power cool and getting a good laptop fan. Otherwise a pretty good laptop.

Bough Acer Predator Helios 300-PH315 in 2018. PredatorSense didnt work properly until recent update. This is an app that controls units fans speed and other stuff. I installed BlueStack emulator, played Androids State of Survival, computer got hot, one fan stopped working. The laptop It was well maintained, never got slow. Now I have to fix it. Works well for day to day stuff. Not gaming anymore.

I love this laptop. But the built in speakers suck. It just sounds bad. I had to get external speakers to get quality audio out of it. Now having said that. I really like this laptop for the speed and power. I use it for editing with Davinci Resolve. It handles 4k video like butter. I did buy an extra 500gb ssd drive as my second drive for video. I love the feature of just opening up a few screws and I can insert another drive in minutes.

Overall, great laptop. Start with the bad then Ill go to the good, cause there is very little bad so lets get it out of the way. The screen is flimsy, it has a flimsy plastic case, and with a HUGE 1 inch bezel all the way around they could have sprung for stiffer plastic, so be careful, do not set anything on top of it, any pressure could be disastrous. As many reviews will tell you, this thing gets HOT when overclocking even with fans set to max, I will be investing in a very nice cooling pad for it and update once I see how that helps. Lastly the touch pad, the thing is very poorly made. Its not the least responsive, but the buttons underneath it for clicking are trash, they dont work all the time, and they creak and groan every time you touch the touchpad on the ride side, hoping it doesnt break and is simply annoying. Now for the good. This thing looks downright sick, on top of aesthetics the screen quality is great. Its a great size for 1080p, and with 144hz refresh rate it can run games like Overwatch and the Borderlands series on medium settings with 144 frame rate which is way more important to me than graphics quality, (when overclocked and fans all the way up) with minimal issues. I also run galactic civilizaton 3 on high settings, with large galaxies and fast pacing which is strenuous on a computer as well and this thing handles it phenomenally. The keyboard actually is very nice to type on, feels comfortable when writing essays. The spare storage bay was easy to use, I put a firefox 2tb sshd in it and it works great. Overall it is a great laptop and I have recommended it to several friends and two bought it and love it as well. I do wish that the touch pad was better and the screen was sturdier, but youll probably not find a better laptop for the price or even a couple hundred dollars more.

I bought the Predator Helios 300 over Black Friday weekend 2018 and was a bit anxious before and after the purchase. “Will this be the right laptop?” I thought with some trepidation, or more than once, “God, I’ve made a huge mistake!”
