> 3 dayI’m a casual gamer with a nostalgic affinity for some older games (MoH, original CoD series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., etc.), but I also play World of Tanks and Tom Clancy’s The Division (1 and 2). My standards are no where near the finicky standards of hardcore players, but I do want a machine that can smoothly handle the high-end graphics of the more modern games I chose to play. While I though the ACER PREDATOR TRITON 500 would be a step down from the ASUS ROG I was using, I have come to love the Triton 500, but I would recommend the 1 TB version over the 512GB.

> 3 dayI ordered this laptop for gaming and school work the amount of effort acer put into this laptop is amazing, the temps are literally the coldest on the market Im using the auto fan preset and I get a solid 120fps on minecraft rtx with turbo I can achieve 160fps but the fan is louder then an airplane, the screen had no backblight bleed and I measured the panels response time with overdrive I managed to achieve 2.47ms on average with 300hz running on gpu mode aka g sync, the battery life on this unit is amazing with optimus running on 60hz at 60% brightness, I recently got it today so Im not done testing but its still 74% by just browsing on chrome watching things on youtube (fortnite montages) and (anime) also, I went on microsoft teams did some stuff and also reddit, I dont know why but the colors were higher then normal the brightness I measured was 367 nits which is good for a gaming laptop 101% srgb with 81% adobergb and 83% p3 with a contrast ratio of 1250:1. Overall if your going for any gaming laptop this is the thing to go one consequence is the wrist wrest space see the video for yourself, if you own any razer gaming mice you will know this is small, personally I would find this a benefit since I cant tuck my chair under my table so Im not sitting too far away from the laptop

15-06-2025This laptop is a beast. Gaming gets me 300-400 fps on normal settings and 120-150 on ultra. No video lag. The only issue I faced was with windows, but it is a different story. A lovely silent keyboard and turbojets fan would cool this baby down. This kind of laptop doesnt tend to be battery efficient due to the loaded CPU and GPU. If you are playing you have around 45 minutes once your parent shuts the braker down. If you are on a budget it is a great opportunity to get a gaming laptop. I do wish there would be more compatibility to update ram for the future since it is kinda a big investment and I would last it longer than 2 years. It is definnatly not portable laptop even though it is a laptop, this beast is a bit heavy. But you are purchasing this powerful machine for a reason right? not for business meetings. Great item and I would recommend it!

> 3 dayThis laptop has plenty of pros... Modern 12th Gen Intel CPU, NVidia 3080Ti (laptop version), plenty of RAM. They were a bit stingy on the SSD but 1TB will get you by for a while. The screen is a nice improvement over the laptop its replacing (close to years old). I was pleasantly surprised the only bloatware of significance was Norton, which I immediately got rid of - nobody needs that garbage.

> 3 dayThe Acer Predator Triton 500 is extremely fast. A lot of my gaming is Warframe which this handles beautifully, but to put this laptop through its paces I also ran Doom Eternal, Borderlands 3, and Quake Champions. Theyre as smooth as butter. Compared to other gaming laptops I appreciate the slim form factor and the weight. It seems like Acer really tried to keep this as compact as possible while keeping the 15.6 screen. I do have a few minor gripes. I wish the built-in management software had more configurable options for the keyboard backlight, but it does have lots of other things you can tweak that other management software like HPs currently doesnt like customize your boot-up image and fan speeds. The laptop also comes with a little bit of bloatware, but I always appreciate an 25gb boost to my Dropbox for another year. It says a lot that these are the only two things I can really complain about. This laptop is awesome. I love it, and I think you will too.
