> 24 hourIve been using APC for most of my eletrical needs (ups, pdu, surge protectors). Unit is made of plastic but appears to be pretty durable. It has plenty of room for me to connect my laptop, monitor and other thingamigs at my desk. The built in usb ports are also handy for charging tablets and phones they provide plenty of power to handle charging a iPad 5th gen without any problems.

> 24 hourAll in all, the design is great, and the performance is fine... with two exceptions: The power switch and the cable. Both are prone to being switched off or pulled at more easily/accidentally than any other surge strip Ive owned. The switch could use more resistance and/or be further “made flush” into the body of the surge strip, and the plug should not be angled like it is. 3 stars. Still, at ~ US$15, it’s a easy and cheap way to get reliable surge protection and more outlets for the devices in your space.

> 24 hourThese power cords are slim enough to hide under my dual power recliner love seats. The angle plug works great, helping to keep the cord out of the way. I did not receive a registration card for the $150k protection plan however so not sure how that will workout if needed hopefully never

> 24 hourI bought 3. I currently use one for my laptop/monitors, the second for my TV, Wi-Fi, gaming console, and the third one at my boyfriends apartment for his TV, gaming console, etc. I ordered this one because of the USB ports, room for different size plugs, the flat plug, white color to look less dusty, and 2160 joules to protect my electronics if there was lightening spike. I like that theres an indicator light that shows if the surge protection is actively working, rather than some power strips that just have a fake light for the power button. The bottom of it also does say it is ETL listed which is always always good for insurance purposes. Ive had this since early February and havent had any issues yet.

> 24 hourI needed a power strip with over 6 outlets and wanted a decent Joule rating. Also I have owned APC in the past and have been very satisfied with the quality. This power strip so far has met my expectations and is working out great.

> 24 hourIve always bought surge suppressors and the like from APC. Theyre very reliable and well-made. The equipment protection guarantees are great, too. This strip is not as sturdy as some other APC strips, but it is also less expensive. Perfect for basic home use (a TV, Xbox, etc). Id get a higher up APC model if youre protecting a workstation computer or high end audio gear. But for basic stuff, this strip is a good value. Id trust this far more than a lesser known brand.

> 24 hourOverall, I have a lot of confidence in the APC reputation. Their power related products all have great build quality and thoughtfulness behind it. This particular surge protector (8 outlets) is both thin and long and takes up very minimal space. The 6 foot power cord is also a good feature to have as it allows for various placements for different use cases. My only complaint about this surge protector is that it doesnt have built in slide covers to protect the outlets that arent in use. Ive appreciated this feature on other surge protector vendors like Belkin which help to protect against the household spills of liquid that happen from time to time within a household. I also somewhat wish that the on/off switch were on the side of the surge protector to prevent it from accidentally being switched on/off; I feel its a little more difficult to accidentally switch a surge protector on/off when the switch is on the side of the surge protector. just my opinion.
