APC Surge Protector, White Power Strip PH8W, 2160 Joules, Flat Plug, 8 Outlet Power Strip

Great product! APC is known for high quality products and this surge protector is no exception. I love that it has the low profile plug that sits flat in the outlet, wish that the cord came out and down from the plug instead of at an angle to the right. The spacing between plugs on the surge protector is perfect and allows multiple bigger ac adapters to be plugged in next to smaller plugs. Overall a great product that’s worth the money.

Its APC, it trust it with my high end electronics. Will update if fails. All my battery back-ups at work are APC, I havent really tried anything else. I probably wont. Thanks APC!

The differently oriented sockets make the power strip really useful for things with the 90 degree angled plugs.

I used this for a PC.. Works so far as intended. I have not had an outage or power surge so I will update if I do. Seems like good quality.

Just the right amount of protection for my AV center (TV, audio, AV components). Good price and sturdy.

All in all, the design is great, and the performance is fine... with two exceptions: The power switch and the cable. Both are prone to being switched off or pulled at more easily/accidentally than any other surge strip Ive owned. The switch could use more resistance and/or be further “made flush” into the body of the surge strip, and the plug should not be angled like it is. 3 stars. Still, at ~ US$15, it’s a easy and cheap way to get reliable surge protection and more outlets for the devices in your space.

Its hard to get excited about a power strip- but when they designed this one, the engineers at APC hit it out of the park! I love how the wall warts (those odd klunky AC/DC power adapters that so many devices come with nowadays) have their own spot on this unit, and do not block out the remaining plugs that regular AC power cords (3 prong grounded) require. This is VERY important! Most of the competition has you forfeiting one or more plug locations when a wall wart blocks you out! There are on/off status lights (green means OK) and and on/off SWITCH. For the modest and reasonable cost, you get great surge protection. I have used APC products for many years, particularly fond of their backup UPS power supplies. I plan to buy more of this model for my apartment. The quality is there, a nice heavy line cord to connect to the AC power, and better-than-average build quality. Slick!

Item appears to be of high quality. The outlets are well spaced out and accommodate different shapes of plugs. The two LEDs showing that both the unit is powered on and the the surge protection is working are a nice addition.

Solid power strip, used some 3M velcro to attach to bottom side of desk and plug orientation fits all my device needs perfectly. Have an APC UPS for Tv and consoles for past couple of years and this power strip shows the same quality and gives the same confidence to protect my PC and monitor.
