ARES 71002 - Harmonic Balancer Puller Set - Remove Damper Pulleys in Tight Engine Compartments Without Removing The Radiator - Storage Case Included

This is the second one Ive owned. The first lasted 4 years and Im a dealership tech that mainly does heavy line so im pulling balancers off 5.3L, 6.2L v8 sometimes 2-3 a week and 3.6L v6 balancers frequently too. For the amount I use it and the price why would I spend $$$ when I can get this one for$$. My last one the threads blew out and Im actually pretty sure the apprentice did something retarded.

Used this for ls truck engine while sill in the truck ..I tried the harbor freight pullers for literally 4 hours and it kept slipping off .. bought thier 4 pack and still couldn’t even move it .. bought this and bam! 5 min the harmonic balancer is off !

My C5 LS1 balancer came right off with this tool! I messed with my universal 3 jaw puller for over 30 minutes and it wouldnt line up straight no matter what I did. The dowels in this kit feed into the bolt and keep it completely straight. Very useful tool.

The first time I used it. One of the center pins bent.

Works great I was struggling without this tool and when I got it it took me like 5 minutes to take of the crankshaft pulley

Worked with ease to remove the balancer on a 2008 GMC Yukon. Definitely worth buying.

It work beautifully to remove a balancer on a Chevy 6.0 in a van. A little tight with the bottom shrouded in place but still able to use it and get the job done.

The puller worked like a charm.

This tool is just what I needed to repair my daughters car. It worked flawlessly, it was so easy to use I almost wish I had more cars to work on but i am glad I don’t. Yes it’s a little pricey but you won’t regret it.
