Aveeno Baby Soothing Hydration Creamy Oil for Dry and Sensitive Skin, Fragrance- and Steroid-Free, 8 Fl Oz

I have been using this on my kids ever since they needed moisturizer —-8/9 years ago? Yes, we started with the old package. Now, my mom who suddenly developed allergies of her regular moisturizer is using this as well. It totally calmed her skin down and kept her skin moisturized. Will keep buying them for sure!

I am loving this creme! I have eczema and am just getting into the time of year that it gets really bad. After sampling a creme that wasnt nearly as moisturizing as my skin requires, I had scaly patches and hives on the back of my hands and my shins. I used this for 2 days, and the hives are gone and the patches are significantly smaller and definitely less itchy. This creme has a great texture--it is creamy when it comes out of the tube, but becomes thin and like an oil once you rub it in a bit (so, unlike Eucerin, it doesnt stay white and greasy on top of your skin and take forever to rub in). It is super moisturizing and absorbs really well. It also has a very mild scent that is barely detectable and works for any gender. I have uber sensitive skin and it has done nothing but heal it and make it feel soft and smooth, so Im sure it would be gentle enough for most babies (though I have to admit, at least at this time of the year, Im hooked on it myself). It might be a bit too oily for summer, but its excellent for the cool, dry seasons. Its also priced really well compared to other creams that work well for eczema. I would definitely recommend this, and I will be using it regularly on my shins this winter.

I purchased a few bottles so that I would stock up but all are or will expire in a month.

I got this product just before my baby was born and used it for my chapped hands. It worked fine and I had no issues with it. It wasnt the most moisturizing product Ive used but it did the job. My baby is now about a month old and unfortunately I dont think this lotion/oil is going to work for him. Im not sure if hes allergic to it but every time Ive put a creamy oil product on his arms and legs, his entire torso and neck gets red bumps all over. But not his arms or legs. Its strange because regular baby lotions dont produce the same result. Not saying the product is bad, just that I wont be using it on my baby anymore.

# My Review This review is for Aveeno’s Baby Soothing Hydration Creamy Oil for Dry and Sensitive Skin, 5 Fl. Oz. As someone who’s had and continues to have extremely dry skin, irritations, rashes, eczema, and psoriasis, I’m always on the lookout for new creams, gels, Vaseline based products to help prevent and reduce the problem whatever it is. Therefore, I’m always curious to try new options to experience the benefits these’ll bring to my overall well-being. My doctor and dermatologist also recommended to use fragrance free, organic, free from chemicals type of solutions in order to minimize the reactions that are often triggered when I use certain types of products. So, when I saw this cream and even though it’s marketed for babies, I thought I’d give it a try! For what it’s worth, the Aveeno brand is Pediatrician and Dermatologist recommended. First of all, the cream comes in a tube that has a flip top lid and once opened, there’s a small sized hole for the cream to squeeze out of. It’s worth noting that there’s a tamper proof seal that should be removed before use. Needless to say, with the viscosity of the cream being similar to that of a lotion, it dispenses cleanly without much pressure. The cream is very light and once applied thins out over the skin - a small amount is sufficient enough to spread out evenly. As described, the cream has 100% pure oat oil that’s known to strengthen the skins moisture barrier, vitamin E which has antioxidant properties to improve the skin, and, dimethicone as a skin protectant. So far, the cream works as described! I was skeptical at first as I’ve tried all kinds of creams, moisturizers, and ointments that have been so-so; however, using this cream did provide some decent short-term relief. The oil-based formulation has been good for preventing dry, rough, scaly and itchy skin. It’s been gentle on the skin, moisturizes to hydrate & protect and isn’t sticky or tacky – it didn’t leave a greasy residue. Overall, this is a good type of cream from a well-known brand that helps combat dry skin by hydrating, moisturizing and protecting while making it easy to apply. A small amount goes along way and it feels just right on the skin. So far, I like it, but time will tell on its complete effectiveness …. Wonderful for the baby skin!

Another great product from Aveeno! I live in a very arid climate and use lots of lotions to keep from drying out. This Aveeno creamy oil is more like a cream and doesnt feel oily at all. The light fragrance is pleasant. I am using this as an all over lotion after showering and as a hand lotion during the day. Absorbs quickly and skin stays nice and hydrated.

LOVE. IT. My baby was getting splotchy after using J&J lotion and any baby oil. I bought this and its wonderful. No splotchiness. He even seems to enjoy getting rubbed down with it. I even use it on my babys head for his cradle cap.

Eczema-prone daughter loves this stuff.
