The strap on the bottom def helps the hat stay on her head & it beats having to put a cap of my own on her head to provide shade for beach days! This product is great as it only fit a bit big unlike all the items at all the retail stores which fit her ridiculously huge!! I ordered the yellow with flowers and it’s super cute!! **pls like my comment if you found it helpful
